Chapter. 6

*"(No one's POV)"*

Suddenly, after walking through only a dark tunnel they came to an open place. Maybe the middle of the mountain?

"WooOOOoow" Luca's voice echoed through the room and tunnels. "Great now you've seen it, let's go before shadows come out form the shadows or whatever they do!" Luca tries to reason with Hope but she knew something was wrong with all this.

"It doesn't makes sense..." Hope murmurs. "Where are all the shadows, they are supposed to be here!?" She raised her voice just a little.

"I don't know, but my whole body says it doesn't wanna find out." Luca again tried to reason but Hope ain't letting it go.

Then footsteps was heard.

"Luca! Are you seriously walking away from me!?" Hope said demanding an answer.

"What? I'm not, I'm right here?" Luca countered back with a bit more attitude while stepping closer to Hope.

Footsteps can still be heard.

Hope spun around trying to find the source of the sound.

"Hello! Who's there!?" She said out loud, hopefully someone would reply. Someone nice at least.

Then, the footsteps stopped, and someone voice was heard.

"I'm right here." The voice sounded a bit raspy but at the same time like a soothing mother.

Blue flames were lit across the room on lanterns, until it reached a person.

Standing on the top of many stairs, looking down smiling at them.

Hope, Luca and Ruzzel all looked at her.

She didn't look completely human. Her skin looks dead, pale or maybe white like snow. Her black spiky hair darker than night is cut in a mullet. The eyes are all black with only a tad bit of white, circling the iris. Crooked horns coming out of her head and a long tail finishing out the monstrous look.

She grinned wide with her sharp teeth, all while looking down on them.

"Wh-who are you?" Hope lost her voice for a moment, startled by the situation at first but quickly composed herself.

Luca picked up Ruzzel into his arms while positioning himself behind Hope.

The so called 'monster' just smiled even more and began to answer.

"Me, I have been giving a few names in my time. Mistress of shadows, the dark queen. But most call me...The evil Witch!" She ended the sentence with a menacing tone.

'The evil witch. It can't be her! Can it?' Hope thought. The evil witch is just a myth. She's supposed to just be a scary bed time story to scare the kids to behave. How can she be real!?

The so called evil witch just grinned widely and started talking again "Hm, I'm sure you have a lot of questions Hope."

That deserved a gasp form Luca "Yo-you know her?" He said with a trembling voice.
