Chapter. 7

*"(Hope's POV)"*

"Mommy mommy!" I yelled louder this time to get my mothers attention. I wanted to show her a drawing I made of our family.

"Mommy do you see it, I drew us!"

"Oh what a wonderful drawing Hope, you must show it to your father and sister." She said, her voice was always so soothing, like she's singing a lullaby.

A lullaby I never wanted to end.

I ran up the stairs to my parents bedroom, it was always the best place to be. It felt so....safe.

"Daddy look I made something!" I ran up to his work desk where he was sitting, always working. On what? I never bothered to ask.

"What a pretty drawing dearie." He said like my work was more important than his. Dad was always so supporting in everything I did. To bad he wasn't always there to support all I wanted to show him.

He carefully took the drawing from my tiny hands and admired it.

I was looking into the horizon seeing nothing but sea. All that was on my mind was the memories.
The memories I always was thinking of, memories I wish never ended.

Everything was smooth sailing back to Whales doom so far. Luca wasn't nosy, Bob was slightly less annoying and Ruzzel was his sweet old self.

With good luck on our side I bet we will be back to shore in no time. That is if we really do have luck. The encounter with....her....really was.....something.

But it doesn't matter right now. I have to figure a way to stop this. If, well the evil witch as she calls herself now, can really free the shadows by herself there's no thinking what she could do.

Make the shadows attack the elf kingdom and steal their magic or destroy the human kingdoms. I have to warn them.

I have to travel to the human kingdom, to warn them about the evil witch. They probably listen better to a human like me then the elf kingdom. Also the elf's can probably protect them self better against the shadows.

"Heeeeyy there, whatcha thinking about?" Luca suddenly snapped me out of my thoughts. Great.

"Nothing." At least nothing he should know.

"You seemed to be thinking real hard there for a second." Luca said

"Yeah, I was thinking real hard on nothing." Not to be rude to him, I just don't feel like talking.

"You wanna know what I am thinking?" Luca spoke up after a bit of silence. Silence I wish lasted longer. "What is it?" damn my curiosity.

"So, I was thinking. Maybe I could continue to go with you. I mean you probably still need my help and magic right?" Luca looked away and started to fidget with his cape.

That's something I haven't thought about much. But I suppose he's right, I mean I will need some magic. Just maybe not tell him everything, best if he doesn't know.

"I mean yeah, I would need you for magic and stuff." I announced to him with my most serious tone and face. I would never admit it, but I kind of enjoy his company. I still prefer Ruzzel of course but Luca is good enough.
