Red Eyes // Avatar The Last Airbender//

Here's the deal...

Hey there my lovely readers,

I have a confession to make: I suck at updating. Well you probably already know that. So I was thinking earlier about all my works on here and I realized the reason I don't update anymore so let me tell you a story.

When I first started my first fanfiction on wattpad (which I later deleted) it was about a show called The Vampire Diaries. My first ever story on here was a fanfiction about a love between two of the characters, Damon Salvatore and Elena Gilbert. Soon I was hooked on writing. I loved telling stories and I was obsessed with that television show so it all worked out. Later on I made a new fanfiction (again I deleted it) about another two characters on The Vampire Diaries, Rebekah Mikaelson and Matthew Donovan, and I had a good time writing it. Soon though I started to dislike the show which definitely appeared in my writing so I deleted the fanfictions changed my username and started over. I didn't know what kind of story I wanted to write but I knew I wanted it to be a fanfiction so one day when my brother asked if I wanted to binge watch Avatar the Last Airbender I came up with the greatest idea: write an ATLA fanfic! So I did and it got pretty popular. I never thought anyone would read it but people did and I was so so so excited. I wrote every day when one day I got upset that I had to kind of stay true to a story line and many of the ideas I had contradicted the show itself. I felt like my creative mind couldn't reach its full potential with the fanfiction I was writing. So one day while I was on the phone with one of my good friends at the time I decided to keep writing an ATLA fanfiction but add a character and that's where I came up with the idea for Red Eyes which is by far my favorite fanfic that I have ever written. But now I don't really feel like writing based off of someone else's story. I have so many ideas for stories of my own that writing a fanfiction doesn't really appeal to me like it used to. And before you start getting mad at me I am not stopping writing my fanfics. I have just made a decision about them. When I first started writing both of my ATLA fanfictions I told myself that I would make several books about each of them instead of making one because I liked it so much. Now I am going to finish both of them and stop with one big happy (or not happy) ending and I'm going to start writing a story of my own. I will probably be working more on my original story than on my fanfics but I will try to write for my fanfics as much as for my own story. I will be starting the story on wattpad and I am very excited for it. I have decided to spend most of my summer writing since I'm not doing any camps this year and I'm not traveling a lot so hopefully I can finish off both of my fanfictions and get a good chunk of my original story done. I hope you guys can understand why I'm starting my own story and hopefully you guys would like to read it. I think I will be posting the first chapter tonight but I don't really know yet so stay tuned for that. My fanfictions that I have going now will not be shortened in any way I will just not be continuing them after they are finished and hopefully you all can understand that. I thank all of you so much for reading my works because when I first started this I didn't think anyone was going to read my stuff but you guys have and I'm so thankful for that. Every vote, read, and comment makes me smile because I never thought that I would be good at something like this. I love you all you guys are so great!
