Little Fire

"Sister?" Zuko replied shocked.

"We'll half sister"Enya replied. "Your mom is my mom, it's actually really simple" Enya announced sarcasm laced In her raspy voice.

Zuko eyes lit up

"m-mom?" He replied obvious tears forming in his eyes.

"Yeah mom you know long black hair talks like she's in a lifetime movie." Enya was surprised at how stupid he was acting.

"How? What happened? Tell me everything" Zuko replied getting off his throne and walking up to Enya. Enya smiled he seemed interested in her, she finally had a family.

"Everything?" She asked him.

Zuko nodded he wanted to know everything about his mother and his newly found sister.

"You should sit down its a long story." Enya replied sitting down on the floor. Alex whimpered and lay down in Enyas lap. Everyone else in the room found a seat waiting for the girl with the fiery eyes to tell her story.

"So beginning...what happened in the beginning? Oh yeah that's right so mother deary moved to the southern water tribe after she left this....." she looked around at the dull palace ".....interesting place" she smiled innocently and returned to her story. "There she remarried and soon she had little me. Mother was amazed at my red eyes so she named me Enya..which means little fire in some weird language..I don't know but anyway she was so blended in with the tribe that when she discovered I was a fire bender she panicked"

Zuko leaned in as if to get a better grasp on the words she layed before him. "Good news for her the fire I bended was blue..she told me it was water and that I wasn't allowed to bend it because the fire nation would take me away." Enya smiled at the thought of her innocent young self believing in that bull shit water bending excuse. "But I loved bending, it was part of me, it made me feel...alive" Enya paused. The room was silent, they were all waiting for her to finish. "Of course the good feelings didn't last long. Mother wasn't only lying to me, she lied to my father who left us right after he found out." Enya sighed which caused Alex to sit up and give her small kisses on her face as if to tell her everything would be okay. She smiled at Alex and continued on. "I was two when he left, it was only a week after I had first bended fire. I didn't understand why he left and the only thing that made me feel better was bending." Alex layed back into Enyas lap protectively as the group stared back at them. "I would sneak away and practice on my own til I was caught by my soon to be friend, Katara" she turned and faced Katara who she had noticed right when she walked in. Katara eyes widened as she remembered little Enya. "She helped me bend since she was the only water bender there, everything was right for once. Then when I was ten mom decided to tell the truth." Enya felt her tears fight to escape but again she pushed them back. "I was outraged so I ran away to find you" Enya looked back at Zuko "of course the war delayed me and I ended up living in the big fancy library with mr spirit owl." She chuckled "he was like my father and the knowledge keepers were my family. Soon people were destroying things and taking information to use against others so Wan Shi Tong asked me to leave to protect me, so I left bringing Alex along with me. We traveled for a year avoiding the war and now we are here so yeah that's everything" Enya finished looking around the room. Several mouths were open and tears were filling Zukos eyes. Suddenly Zuko hugged Enya.

"I'm glad you're here" Zuko admitted

Enya smiled and slightly hugged her brother back.

"I'm glad I'm here too"
