CHAPTER 12: Welcome to LA

I am sitting in Kian's car, which is pretty nice actually; and he is playing nice music. I look at him, and he is too cute with his blonde hair and his great jaw line and his goofy smile and... I can't remember a time of me being this happy. But I am really scared because of it, one moment I can be this happy, and the other, all this happiness I have, can be completely the opposite. But like Katie said, I need to stop bitching and just get to it.
I can listen Kian saying something, but when I pay attention to him, he is done talking. "Sorry, I didn't hear you, what was that?" I say, I'm so stupid.

"I asked, how long have you been here?" he says. "By here, you mean L.A. right?" I ask. He laughs and nods. He knows I am a college girl, but he must think I am a dumb one. "Not for long, like 2 months I guess" I answered and he opens his eyes wide open. "And, you've only been in college right? Like, you haven't experienced L.A.?" he ask, and to be honest, no I haven't, the time that Melany went to pick me up it was the first time I went out of campus. I mean, I went to the nearest mall, but that's it. So I nod to answer Kian's question. "Well, when Melany, my mom and I were together, be lived here in L.A., but, if we are talking about 'experience' I have just visited Disneyland when I was like 10. But I don't know much about here" I say. He nods and doesn't say anything else, and it was like that for 10 minutes.

Then, he parks at a 7/eleven and opens the car door for me, I have no idea what it's going on, but I go along with it. He starts graving munchies, like Arizona tea and chips; "grab whatever you want, you're going to get hungry" I say nothing and do what he says. When we pay, we go back to the car and he keeps driving. I'm really proud of myself, I am calm and going with whatever he says, and I'm not a person who takes orders, but right now, I am pleased of being here next to Kian.

After time passes, we start to talk, but nothing about where we are heading, and I don't ask. He ask me how I'm doing at school and I tell him that I am now popular because of him and we keep talking about different stuff.

He enters at a parking, and I read a sign that says "Welcome to Hilton hotel"; but I keep containing myself until he decides to tell me what's going on. We get down of the car and he opens the trunk, and for my surprise, there are 2 suitcases. So not only he is taking me into an unknown place and making me stay at a hotel, but he even packed for me. Which is cute, but I have no clue or whatsoever. We go to the lobby "stay here" he says to me while he talks with a receptionist. Like I have been all day, I do what he says; when he comes back, he has a key in his hands and he grabs the suitcases and walks, I follow him. We get to the elevator, we get to the room, and when we enter the room, he closes the door and says "What the fuck, Melissa? I could practically kidnap you and you won't say a word?" I smile "I was waiting for you to tell me, I didn't wanted to annoy you with all my questions" I say while sitting on the bed "And besides, you wouldn't dare to kidnap me", he sits right next to me, too close, and says "are you sure?" with a poker face. I don't know what to say, so I don't, he is looking right into my eyes, he gets even closer, when someone knocks in our door.

He quickly stands up and opens the door, then I see Melany and Jc walking in "Melissa!" Melany approaches to me and hugs me "Isn't this great?" she says, but I am still confused, I still have no idea what I am doing here or why are they here, I look at Kian and he smiles, so I just nod to Melany and smile. They say something about getting ready and they leave, so it's me and Kian again; I just look at him expecting for answers and he delivers them "Listen, we are here on a random trip, this was all made up this morning, Six Flags it's like 2 blocks away, and there is where we are going" he looks at me "oh, and don't worry about the room, I can sleep on the couch" he says pointing to the couch.

"So, if you want to change, do it, because we are leaving in 10 minutes" Kian says. What the fuck am I doing?
