CHAPTER 9: Breaking a Promise

*Kian POV*

Melissa and Melany have been in Jc's room for over 10 minutes, what would they be talking about?

I look at Jc, and he is calmly eating his pancakes "What do you think is going up there?" I ask Jc.

"Well, who knows, some sister talk and that stuff" Jc says "Well yea, but Melany seemed pretty upset when she got here" I say. "Well, you know, it's Melany, she worries about everything, and more when it is about her little sister" Jc says.

"What are you talking about?" I say "does Melany doesn't trust me with her little sister? What have I done to get this lack of trust from her?"

"I don't know dude, just relax and eat breakfast, everything is fine" Jc says, and he continues eating.

*Melany POV*

"Why are you here?" I ask

"Well, why not? They are my friends now, I was bored and I didn't wanted to eat breakfast all alone" Melissa says.

"Ok, its fine, but you could have at least tell me or Jake about it" I say raising my tone

"Well yea, but you guys were sleeping! Did you wanted me to wake you up?" Melissa says raising her tone also.

"Great idea Melissa, why couldn't you thought of that before you left?" I say. Why can't she understand that I was worried?

"Melany, can we just talk, like... normally?" Melissa says and I look at her with a confused expression "And by normally, I mean not yelling at each other?" I just look at her, and we both sit in Jc's bed.

"I don't mean to be rude, but... what it's your problem?" Melissa asks. "My problem?" I ask. "Well, yea, you just get mad every time I'm with the guys, and you get even more mad when I'm just with Kian; can you please tell me what happened between you two?" I look down at my hands "Did you guys had an argument? Or, is he a man whore? Or, what is it?"

She is right, I'm just taking these reactions that, for me makes sense, but for her it's just confusing. I don't know if I should tell her; I don't know how she would react.

"These is not a fun story to tell..." I say to Melissa, she looks at me and grabs my hand.

"What happened sis?" She says and I breathe really intense.

I don't think about it, I just let it out "While I was dating Jc, like 7 months ago... I did started to like Kian; and something did happened between us" I say, and that was enough for her to understand, because she gets up and says "Melany, I'm sorry, I didn't meant to make you tell me this" she says and she starts to walk in circle, I remember that is something she does when she gets anxious.

"Melissa" I say loudly so she pays attention to me; and she stops and looks at me "I promised that I wouldn't talk about this, but I want to tell you the whole story so you understand... please sit" I tap the bed pointing at the place where she should sit.

So I do; I tell her about how Kian kissed me when I was dating his best friend, how my boyfriend cheated on me because he thought I was cheating on him with Kian, how Kian had a crush on me, how I broke up with Jc. This messy situation that happened because I wanted to date a normal guy. Melissa pays attention to me the whole time I'm speaking, and every word that comes out of my mouth, the more she looks surprised.

"That's it" I say while Melissa is holding my hand. We remain silent for a couple of minutes.

"Wow Melany, I really don't know what to say" Melissa says "You don't have to say anything" I say "you just need to understand that it's not that I am jealous. Because I am not; Kian is a great guy, he is funny, he is protective, he is thoughtful, he is definitely not selfish, but... he did has a crush on me; When I talked to him not a while ago, he said he would try to make that go away, but I don't know if it has. If you are considering on having something with him, be my guest. Just make sure it's for the right reasons."

We walk downstairs where the guys are, and we act like nothing happened. We just chill with them while the time passes by.
