You were caught in a daze after you talked to Wally. You were so eager to get back to your house that you didn't even notice the door open on it's own on your way out.
The moment you reached your house and got inside, you propped a chair against the door because there wasn't a lock.
3 months... no police, no friends, no parents, no family. Nobody to trust. I'm not even an adult yet. I can't just live here for 3 months. What am I going to do?! Nobody here is normal. The only person that is even close to normal here is Eddie, and I barely know him. I need to hide... only go out for food. This is the safest place to be... I think.
You close the curtains and block all the exits. You check the kitchen cabinets and refrigerator. Empty. You remember Howdy, and all the supplies he sells at his store, but you have no money. How would you make money? There are no other jobs in the neighborhood. What to do...
You think for a while and decide to ask Howdy for help. You move the chair blocking the door and go outside. You feel someone watching you. You glance around but nobody appears to be outside.
Unable to shake the feeling of being watched, you run into Howdy's shop. You go to the front desk where Howdy was sitting, reading a newspaper. He notices you walking towards him and puts down his newspaper.
"Welcome! What can I get for you?" Howdy greets you with his welcoming smile.
You wave awkwardly and say, "Um, hello. I came here to get a few things, but the thing is..." you felt stupid, "I... don't have any money." You stared at your feet, embarrassed.
Howdy looked confused.
"Munee? What's that?"
You were taken aback. He didn't know what money was?
"It's something you use to exchange. Like trade?
"Oh! That's alright, Y/N. Everything here is free!" He says happily.
Free? Everything? This shop is amazing! But you can't stick around for too long, you need to get back to the safety of your house as soon as possible.
You collect all of your supplies. That's when you realize, there is an exceptionally large amount of apples piled on a table between the isles. There was a blue one on top. Wait, a blue apple? You take a second longer to look and realize it was not an apple. That was the unmistakeable hairdo of a kidnapper. Wally Darling, to be exact.
You sneak behind one of the isles so he couldn't see you. You were almost out the door when you bumped into a coat rack and dropped all of your stuff. Loudly.
You start picking up your things as fast as you can, but not fast enough.
"Oh my! Are you alright?"
Wally ran towards you, a look of concern on his yellow face.He started to help pick things up.
"N-no, it's okay, I've got it.-"
"Oh no, I insist dar- neighbor."
You look at him. He avoids eye contact, busying himself with helping clean up. You decide not to think about the fact he almost called you 'darling' and gather your things, leaving afterwards.
"Uhm, thanks for helping me."
"Anything for you, dear"
Wally says before he could stop himself. You stare at each other for a long while. You both blushed a bit. You decided to be the asshole and ruin the cute moment by turning around and walking out the door.
You reach your house and go inside, trying to forget the awkward moment you had with Wally. You block the door again and look outside. It was dark. That's strange, when you were at Howdy's, it was bright out. Oh well. You were tired anyways. Without caring to change, or even take off your shoes, you flop out onto the couch and pass out in an instant.
