Rue laid there thinking about her hiding things from Jules. Elliot had asked how had she not noticed and Rue said because she's good at her job but deep down she wanted to know if Jules really knew.
If she was clueless then Rue couldn't help but think does she really think I would get sober for her again? After what happened the first time?
She loved Jules but definitely not to get clean for her again. She doesn't really think she could get over how Jules left after Rue had did so much for her. But she missed her, her feelings for Jules never really left and being with Jules was like a dream. Rue loves Jules. Jules Loves Rue and hopefully this secret doesn't make them break up.
She looks over to Leon. He had just gotten kicked out and he was so chill about it. Last night when he came over he and Rue talked about films and shows. Realizing that many people find happiness in both of those. They rely on those to keep them happy when the world around them is falling apart.
Rue and Leon Realized that if they were in a show or film they would disappoint the audience the entire season or 1-2 hour run time. So unfortunately no one could find happiness watching them fuck up there lives even more than they already have. But that didn't matter cause as long as these two stayed alive the Audience had no choice but to keep watching.
For a moment Rue wondered about how much longer would it take before things don't go their way anymore. Would they still be good friends, would they hate each other, drift apart, would they even still be alive? The thought of everything around them falling apart but they stayed close didn't sound unrealistic considering that they were always there for each other but it was also not entirely promised. Maybe it would test their friendship.
Rue had to promise if things go wrong then Leon was the last person she would go against. He had done so much for her and she had done so much for him. Why the hell would she try to ruin it. If her world was getting destroyed she hoped that he was still around.

Breaking the 4th wall
"Now as beloved characters that a lot of people are rooting for we feel a certain responsibility to make good decisions. But we relapsed." Leon says with a shrug.
Rue signals Elliot to click to the next slides and we see pictures of drugs and the insane amount of pictures with Leon and Rue taking drugs.
"In all fairness we did say in the beginning we had no intention of staying cleaning." Leon sits on a desk and takes a sip of cough syrup.
"But I get it. Our country's dark." Rue says as pictures of all sorts of fucked up things that happen in America. "And fucked up, and people they just wanna find hope."
Spiritual slides appear. "Somewhere." Elliot says.
"Anywhere."
"And if not in reality, then in television" Leon says through a TV. "Unfortunately...I'm not it and neither is Rue."
The camera switches to Rue drinks the cough syrup. She makes a face and tries to shrug it off. "Elly."
