a/n: thank you all so much for being patient. it was never my intention to disappear for literally 6 months but i'm back now and i hope i can stay long enough this time to not leave you guys hanging (again i feel horrible about that).
i've come to realize my writing style has hella changed, so if it looks weird to you, that's why. but then again that's just kinda how writers are because we learn and we grow.
WELCOME BACK READERS AND ENJOY!!! 😋

"NO MORE BEATING AROUND THE BUSH!," you huff, stomping over to your basement door.
At the moment, Freddy's body parts were collecting dust, waiting to be put together. Essentially, you were yelling at yourself because you've been holding off working on Freddy for a couple of days now. Mostly because you were afraid you would mess him up somehow.
Gregory, too, was confused on why you were waiting so long to start on him.
As you trodded down the steps with Gregory trailing behind, he seemed to say what both of you have been thinking for quite a while now.
"What upgrades are we gonna do to Dad?," he blurts, causing your brain to malfunction for a tick.
"Not sure yet," you respond, grabbing your tool box and setting it on your workbench with Freddy's parts.
You had to do something special to make it up to him. After all, he did suffer the worst out of everyone. It put you into a state of guilt just thinking about it.
He had to be perfected. The amount of time you were going to put into him was going to be more than the others.
But what could you possibly do? Would he forgive you even if you couldn't figure out a way to apologize?
Wait, there is a way though...
I AM NOT GIVING FREDDY A DICK AS A PRESENT! GOD I AM SO UNSERIOUS.
Apparently, you were not thinking clearly.
"Mom, why is your face red?," Gregory chimed in, having noticed you weren't paying attention to the work you were supposed to be doing.
"It's nothing, hun," you flinch, wiping any sort of expression that could've given away what you were thinking. "Now hand me that driver would you?"
It took you 6 hours to get one leg attached to the torso and you still had 4 other limbs to go. Due to the way you built the animatronics, it was easier to do the programming stuff after you got all the pieces together. However with Freddy, you wanted to be extra careful. Plus, programming was going to be the tricky part of it all.
This routine went on for two weeks; you would attach a limb with Gregory's help, do your job as manager at the Pizzaplex, and then rest for a day before repeating.
"Is working all you ever do?"
A light voice broke you free from your trance. You had been working on paperwork for so long you hadn't even realized it had gotten dark outside.
Vanessa panned her eyes across your messy desk, a look of pity in her features, "The plex is gonna do just fine, you don't need to worry so much."
"I know, I just feel like I have to work on something," you exhale, leaning back in your chair.
"You workaholic," the blonde chuckles, jabbing you in the shoulder playfully.
The donations you've been getting have helped immensely, but you weren't gonna keep getting them forever and if you were going to keep running the plex, this paperwork needed to be done beforehand. Especially after you had been running behind on it for so long. It would take a huge burden off your shoulders if you could just get all of this done and not have to worry about it anymore, so that's what you were doing.
