[name] couldn't believe his eyes. He was at a party and across the room stood his ex girlfriend, Madelyn. They had broken up when she was cast in Outer Banks. She had been so busy and they hardly spent time together so they decided to call it quits.

Now, as he looked at her he couldn't help but be memorised. She was just as gorgeous as he remembered. He couldn't watch the show because it hurt too much seeing her.

Suddenly, she turned her head and their eyes connected. Her smile dropped and her face turned shocked. Seemed she was just as surprised as he was.

He lifted his hand and waved. It was all he could think to do.

She lifted her hand and waved back. "Who is that?" Madison asked from beside her.

Madelyn glanced at her for a moment. "That's my ex... I haven't seen him in like a year."

Madison nodded her head and looked [name] up and down. "He's cute."

"I know." Madelyn sighed.

"Why don't you go and talk to him?"

"I don't know. What would I say?"

"Ask him he is, what he's been doing." Madison said in an obvious tone. "Come on. You can do it. I can clearly see you want to."

Madelyn sighed and looked down at the drink in her hand. "I don't know if I can."

"Well, it's too late now. He's coming over here." Madison said quickly.

Madelyn snapped around to see [name] a couple feet away from her. Madison walked away, deciding to leave the two alone to talk. "[name]." She said softly.

He smiled at her and she couldn't help but let her heart skip a beat. "Hey, Mads." He spoke. His voice like honey to her ears. "I, um, I missed you. It's good to see you again."

"Yeah, you too." Her words seemed to have left her.

He cleared his throat. "I'm sorry. I should probably leave you to it."

"Wait." She grabbed his hand and stopped him. "Sorry, I'm awkward. I just... I'm shocked to see you here."

"Yeah, I was invited by a friend." Her hand was still in his and he didn't want to let go. "How have you been?"

"Good. Really good. I mean, the show is doing amazing and I'm getting so many opportunities."

She spoke with such an excited tone. "I'm proud of you." He said. "You got everything you wanted. You deserve it."

She shook her head. "Not everything."

"What do you mean?"

As if she finally realised she was holding his hand, she let go and he instantly missed the feeling. "I, um, I mean, when I thought of my future, I always saw you in it." She laughed lightly. "I shouldn't have said that."

"No, no, I get it. I saw you in mine." He said. He moved his hand forward to grab hers again. "I really missed you, Mads."

She took a gulp in and took a step forward. He lifted his free hand and put it on her cheek.

"Do you think we could give us another chance?" He questioned softly.

She looked into his eyes. She didn't speak and instead closed the gap between them, connecting their lips.

That was the only answer he needed.
