I never really thought about having to move homes but it happened. I pleaded for weeks to not move and not leave my bestfriend Nikki. But it had to happen, dad got a new job in Waterbury, Connecticut. Hell. No. All it does is snow, it never snows in California. Ever. But we had to no matter how much I begged. So I finished my last box, said good bye to my room, and carried it to the car. "Ready to go, Jackie?" My mom yelled from the kitchen. "As I'll ever be" I replied and sighed. We got in the car for the last ride to Waterbury, good bye California life. I felt my eyes getting heavy and drifted to sleep, I woke up hours later and we were 10 minutes from the new house, so I just got on Twitter, what else is new. I was just getting my daily dose of stalking in like usual, looking at some guy named djthesuperior, his bio said he was a younower, whatever that is. But he was really cute so I followed him anyways. But soon enough we were at the new house, oh joy. Not. I needed to get used to the neighborhood so I walked in the house with a box labeled 'the shit I need' I plopped it on the floor of the room I claimed. I opened the box and I was already wearing black legging and a white baggy crop top, so I threw my favorite plaided flannel over it and threw my hair in to a messy bun. I checked my self in the mirror and walked out the door, I already had light make up From this morning. I slipped on my galaxy vans and walked out the door. "I'll be back soon mom." I yelled "ok. Be safe." I walked down the street and all the houses were apart and across from each other nothing like Cali. I just kept walking not really looking where I was going, I was admiring the beautiful sunset and crisp air. I might like it here I think to myself, but I get cut off in my conversation with myself by a bunch of boys speeding by on their bikes, through a puddle. So now my leggs were soaked in muddy water. Fun. I kept walking even though I was pissed, I heard the boys biking back to me and one of them looked really familiar. I was trying to remember here I had seen him before. Then I rembered, djthesuperior from Twitter. 'Oh damn. He's even cuter in real life.' I thought to myself. The one that looked familiar, DJ, approached me and said he was sorry, and I said it was ok. Like normal people, but then I couldn't help myself so I asked "You're djthesuperior on Twitter, right?" That sounded kinda weird. "Yeah that's me, don't treat me any different though I can't stand it when people do that." "Ok, no problem." It was kinda getting dark. "Well I should probably get home, lots of unpacking." I said to break our silence. "Oh! You're new here?" "Yeah, I was just looking around the block, I kinda like you.. It, it the block, I like the block." Damn it Jackie I think. He laughs and pulls out a pen, "Here is my number just text me if you need anything" he offered. "Ok! Thanks, bye DJ" I said as I walked away back to my house. When I walked in the door I walked in to my room to find that mom had already put up my bed. "Thank you so much mom, I kinda like it here. " I said as I grabbed a piece of pizza from the open box on the table. And walked in to my room, I seriously couldn't stop thinking about DJ.
