"Hey, Vent, how have you been?"
One of her two close friends, Agent Luna Clarke-Beltran greeted her.
Agent Deirdre Lorelei 'Leigh' Ventura-Meyer has been a CIA field agent for ten years ever since she was eighteen years old. While she first met Agent Luna when she was only an applicant and is training to be an agent at the age of seventeen. Agent Leigh is one of the people who has come close to being the little gray man.
"Been in hell, as always. How about you, L?"
"I have been there too but life is sweet right now."
"Like a liquid laxative?" She did not hesitate to retort a bitter statement. Her close circle is well aware of her marital problems as always. Luna could not help but chuckle at her statement and replied, "At least, it would give you a constipation relief, Vent?" Leigh then laughed out loud and put on a small smile.
"Sometimes, it causes diarrhea. Now calm down, do you have any marital tips for me?"
"I have one and one only."
"You could compromise because one needs to do that." Luna stated the statement without any hesitation while Leigh nodded at her close friend with a tight smile. Agent Luna though understands that both Leigh and her husband, Mark are prideful people who would not compromise easily.
"You can keep saying it but I do not think either of us will do it."
"It is my only marital tip so you know, it sucks."
"No, do not worry. It is an all right marital tip but I am not the right crowd for this, really." She replied with a chuckle. Leigh had always know that she is not one of the people to be given any advice. She was the type to learn everything by herself and never listens to other people because she knows that everything she is doing is correct and right.
"Very well, I expect to see you in the meeting at Monday."
"Yes, let us chat with your sister at Monday. Also, there are a lot to topics which I would like the two of you to listen and give some efficient opinions."
"I am in between being delighted and mortified that the great Deirdre Ventura-Meyer is finally asking for the opinions of the others. Let us hope the meeting in Monday would bring us some serene and quite a few laughter's. Goodbye, Vent!" Her phone then silently beeps as their call had officially ended.
"That was Luna, how has she been?"
Her husband, Marcellus 'Mark' Meyer entered the balcony as Leigh smiled at him.
"Based on her, her life has been pretty sweet." She replied towards his question while he wrapped his arms to her waist and rest his head to her shoulders. Her smile slowly crept in as he askes, "How about you, Amor? How have been feeling?" She looked forward at the sunrise as he looked at the love of his life.
"I am feeling fine, Amore."
"Are you sure? You know, you can always open up to me whenever you are distressed, frustrated, and so."
She felt her smile to have grown larger as she have the reassurance that there was someone by her side, no matter what. "Yes, and you know that I would always tell you something if there are things which bothers me. But, Amore, I am also here for you from your lowest to your highest in life."
She felt Mark's smile grew by her shoulder as he leaned to keep looking at her.
"I am glad to have you, Amor. I could not have been more lucky in life."
