"Leigh, this would be a difficult situation for us to handle." Her Uncle Bart stated while he looked at the photos taken by the butler and husband of the deceased, Mr. Angelo Andreas. She took a look at her copy while she heavily sighed at her uncle's statement. She can predict a million scenarios inside of her head of what would happen.
"I know, this would put us under a lot of criticism and speculations."
It seemed like the Ventura Business Family would be shown in public where they are most sensitive.
"We cannot let this ruin us. We should not hide it as well because if we do, they would think we have murdered." He stated while she nodded looking at her phone and looking back at him. "Either way, they would think one of us have planned to murder the third person in the marriage of the well-esteemed patriarch of Ventura Family."
"Well, she has been inside of the family ever since my tenth birthday. Why would we get rid of her now?"
"She has been inside the family for about forty-four years now?!"
"Well, yes but Alex (or Lex, Leigh's father) and I agreed that we would not set an example like that to you all. Yes, she was considered 'family' but I still feel uncomfortable around her." Her Uncle stated while she looked around seeing that they are soon to arrive towards their designated destination.
"I am glad that you did not continue such habit, Uncle."
"Well, as the person you have complimented, I am very much glad considering your aunt would totally kill me if I do commit infidelity."
Leigh could not help but to let out a chuckle towards her own paternal uncle's statement considering her Aunt Gia indeed would kill him without a doubt. The Ventura Brother's (Lex & Bart) seemed to have a taste for women who has the skill to kill them without a doubt. It seemed like in her family has a taste for government agent's (Interpol, FBI, & CIA).
"Well, I am glad that you have obtained such loyalty and compassion towards your spouse, Uncle."
"And I am glad that you have kind of married to a good man, my sweet niece."
"Do not worry, Uncle. We can take care of this without losing in the end. I can take care of this kind of problem." Leigh looked at the files while her uncle nodded at her knowing she indeed would be the one who would insist in taking the lead to take care of the family image and reputation.
"We would need more evidence and statement's from the people who are involved with the deceased person."
"We are going to their house because of this. What would be the other reason we would be here if so?"
"To check if they are still alive." Leigh could not help but to laugh out loud at her uncle's statement. She knew it is difficult for them to visit any of them (Ventura or Chevalier). Her grandparent's have always been the people who discriminates people by their social status and she tries to stay as far away as possible.
"We have the housekeeper or butler to inform us of their death if we have heard about the death of the butler's wife then we can certainly hear our own family member's death."
"Are you just waiting for your inheritance?"
Her uncle seemed to be suspicious of her intentions while Leigh looked at him blankly knowing she does not need the money. She has grown up and lived under wealth but everyone seemed to think that she was after the most materialistic objects. "I have enough inheritance from everyone, Uncle."
