My name is Fae Mandel, I'm 32 years old, I live a very secluded lifestyle but it didn't always used to be like this. So, before I begin I feel like it's only necessary that you know a little background about myself; I'm from America, born and bred. I lived in Idaho most of my younger life but because of what happened as you're sure to find out later on, I've moved away and I am now living Maine with my closest friend, Nina. I grew up in a loving family, my parents were hard workers who did everything they could to provide for me and my older brother, Harlow. I wouldn't say we were a rich family, but we sure did love and care for one another. My parents passed away when I was 15; they unfortunately had a fatal car accident that took them from me too soon, but I like to remember that they lived a happy life and I keep them alive in my heart. Though their deaths hit me hard, I didn't let it bring me down too much, I don't like to dwell and let my emotions get to me so I try and stay busy, I've always been a very independent person. I left school when I was 17 and went out and found a job for myself almost straight away, I had waitressing jobs, jobs in cafes, jobs in supermarkets, anything that would keep clothes on my back and food in my stomach. My brother Harlow and I were always very close, I looked out for him and he looked out for me. Harlow, nickname Haz was 3 years older than me. We were each others rock when our parents passed, but we made the best of a bad situation and really looked out for ourselves. I would say I've had a pretty typical life growing up, I was happy for most of it.

When I turned 19, Harlow, who was 22 at the time was starting a life of his own with a lovely girl called Isobel who he met when he went to California with a couple of mates in the summer of 1969. Harlow moved to California to live with Isobel a year later so I didn't see him as much but we still remained in regular contact with one another.

It sucked that I wouldn't get to see my brother as much anymore and have that family support but I pulled myself together and I found an apartment in Boise, still living in Idaho at this point that a couple of girlfriends and I shared together, it was great fun, I loved the freedom.
