Marcos pov:

Izo, Thatch and I reach the island and all we can see are electrocuted dead body's and I quicken my pace worrying for Luffys sake. When Izo spots the cabin, and a girl laying in front of the door with a wolf laying next to her. I break into a sprint and loose my famous cool when I see my lover bleeding on her legs and shackled with sea stone cuffs. And a wolf I recognized as Flash, laying against her and growls at us as we get closer. 

"Luffy yoi?" I say softly, causing Luffy to turn her head.

"Marco? What are you doing here?" She says weakly,

"Girly I wouldn't be talking you are injured and weak, Izo help me find the key!" Thatch says immediately going to all the charred electrocuted bodies. Izo finds the key and unlocks the cuffs and I watch as Luffy sighs with relief.

"Luffy yoi if I only came sooner," I say with looking at her with sad eyes.

"Marco my phoenix shush hun. I'll be okay, and it's not your fault, now can you help me to the bathroom so I can a cold bath and get this shit off of me?" Luffy asks me. I gently pick her up and take her to the bathroom.

I gently remove her clothes and starts washing her hair. Luffy relaxes and washes her body off.

Thatch's pov:

I witness Marco picking up the girl and call her Luffy. And I walk into the cabin to see weapons lining the walls when I spot a katana, a metal spear and a few daggers on the table. Before noticing that Izo is looking at a picture frame so I walk over to see what it's about.

"Thatch are you seeing what I'm seeing?" Izo asks me as I approach to see what he's looking at which is a photo of a young girl with blood all over her face and body.

"Oh you found some of my childhood photos?" The woman says. "I'm Luffy nice to know you're alive Thatch Marco was so worried about you."

"You look exactly like someone I know." Izo says causing Luffy to freeze "Also nice to finally meet you Luffy, I must say you're really pretty."

"Like who?" She asks sounding completely hallow as she stiffens.

"Monkey D. Garp," causing her to stiffen even more.

"Izo that's enough. Luffy why don't Thatch makes food while I tell you about what's happening." Marco says hugging Luffy from behind.

"Okay." Luffy says

Marcos pov

I watch my girl stiffen and freeze under the attention of Izo. Causing me to cuss underneath my breath and try to get his attention off of the fact that she is Garp's granddaughter.

"So Luffy we are heading to marine ford and if you want to we can bring you there." Izo says.

"I prefer to make a flashy entrance with my devil fruit. But thanks for the offer." She says snuggling into my arms as we sit on the couch causing Thatch and Izo to coo.

"Really, and what devil fruit is that?" Izo says

"The Tori Tori no Mi model thunderbird" she says causing Izo to gasp.

"You're the assassin that disappeared 6 years ago!" I feel Luffy tense up and expect her to run to her weapons. But I turn into my phoenix and nuzzle her hair causing my brothers to coo again.

"I was kinda forced to do that because of a deal I made. With the marines." She explains.

"Luffy yoi I love you no matter what your past is." I say after turning back.

Izo smiles "also Luffy we should be lucky that you're dating Marco. Cause for the longest time I thought he was going to grow old without a girlfriend." He says causing Luffy to chuckle.

Luffys pov:

I decided to tell Thatch and Izo something else about my past. "Can you guys keep something from others? Especially two of your brothers" I ask causing Marco and them to look at me and nod. "From that fight you see in that picture is me at 11 years old and I was fighting a giant where I almost died. And the two people I definitely want to make sure they don't know about me are Ace and Sabo."

Izo looks at me and says "At that young of an age!"

"How how? What happened in your... you used to be a slave didn't you? And why Ace and Sabo." Thatch says causing Marco to hug me closer as I nod.

"Yeah but the people enslaved me are now dead. So I'm almost free. Well its because they are my older brothers" I say causing Thatch to gasp.

"wait older brothers? And why haven't we heard any stories about you?" Thatch says as he heads to the kitchen to cook something for us to eat. 

"What do you mean almost free?" Izo asks

"I made that deal with the marines and now I want to see them fall." I say as Thatch brings over the food.

"So Luffy I'm going to have to ask. Why do you have so many weapons? And can i take the two pistols?" Izo asks noticing the two pistols on the wall.

"Huh? Oh you mean my collection of weapons, I just collect the weapons of people I had killed. Mainly the bad guys. And sure you can take the two pistols" I say before continuing, as i walk over to the wall and grab the pistols and handing them to Izo. "anyway what's the plan."

"The plan is to rescue Ace and make sure pops doesn't die in the process." Thatch says eying the two daggers and knife along with a Tachi that I had put down on the table before the Marines came.

"So you guys go up ahead and I'll come in as soon as the war starts." I say. "It's starting to get dark why don't ya'll spend the night."

"Thanks for the offer but we have to get going." Izo says dragging Thatch out of the cabin. Leaving me and Marco alone.

"Love you sure you don't want to come with us yoi?" He asks wrapping his arms around my waist. "That way we can be together yoi."

"My phoenix I need to train and I'm sure the only area I can train is here on my island." I say turning to look at him.

"Can I at least get a see ya later kiss yoi?" Marco asks.

"Of course my lovely phoenix." I say turning around and our lips meet and he deepens the kiss. I break the kiss to get air and our foreheads rest against each other. "You should get going I'll see you during the war."

"Okay yoi. I love you." Marco says giving me a peck on the lips before leaving.

I train nonstop only sleeping for a few hours due to nightmares. Finally when I feel like I had enough training I pack up food and water for the long trip to Marine Ford with the eternal log pose.
