Boruto Uzumaki Goes On A Mission!

Nozomi Uchiha POV:

I was walking in the leaf village, just checking if anyone needed help or needed something from me. I quickly saw a old lady waving towards my direction. I look to see her smiling happily at me and signaled her hand for me to come to her.

I quickly went to her and went to ask her what she needed help with.

"How can I help you?" I asked her, with a cheerful smile on my face.

"Can you help me cross the street, I'm a bit worried that I'll get crushed by someone or something." The old lady said, pointing to the road ahead of her.

"Of course!" I told her, quickly grabbing her arm and walking her across the street. "Where are you heading off too?" I asked her, as we are halfway through the street.

"I'm heading off to my grandson, he is suppose to leave with other shinobis for a mission." She told me, making me understand why she is wanting to cross the street.

"Than we'll get to him before he leaves." I told her as we both went the way that the Shinobis are going to.

We eventually made it. I started searching for the old woman's grandson. As we looked, a tall blonde man bumps into us.

I look over to see who exactly bumped into us. What I saw was a shock to me, it was Boruto. He looks back at me with his bright blue eyes. Instead of excitement, there was only a blandness on his face. We both stare at one another for a bit, until...

"Oh I see him! My grandson!" The old lady chirped out, tugging me to the direction she saw her grandson.

I turned to her and nodded with a smile on my face. We both started heading to the direction the old lady said that her grandson was at. I turned again, only to see that Boruto was walking away from my site.

I saw the old lady grandson talking to some Shinobi's. We quickly went over to him.

"Knuckles!" The old lady shouted, me now knowing what her grandson name is.

"Gr-Grandma?!" Knuckles shouted out, shocked to see his grandma here. "What are you doing here?!" He asked her, concern laced in his voice.

"I wanted to see you before you left on your mission!" The old lady said, caressing her grandson cheek.

Knuckles was going to say something else to her, but just sighed and let the words he was going to say disappear from his thoughts.

He hugs his grandma in a warm embrace, which she returns as well. Knuckles looks up at me and mouths a, 'thank you'.

I nod at him with a warm smile. After I waved my farewells to the two, I than decided to quickly search for the man I needed to talk to, Boruto.

I searched high and low for Boruto, but I couldn't find him. I decided to quit on searching and try asking some shinobi's about where Boruto could possibly be at.

They told me that he was in front of the gate. I quickly thanked them and ran over to the location that the Shinobi's said he was at. I eventually made it and finally saw the man I was looking for.

"Boruto!!!" I shouted out, running over to Boruto who is now looking at my direction.

He quickly sees me and turns his body fully to my direction. I stopped in front of him, my chest puffing from all the running.

"Glad that I found you! I thought I would never find you." I told Boruto, relief in my voice. "Anyway, why are you at the front of the gates?" I asked him, curiosity lacing my voice.

"I'm......going on a mission..." Boruto told me.

"Wait....why?!" I asked him, shocked that he was going on a mission that I didn't even know about.

"They assigned it to me, saying that I was one of the stronger Shinobi's to come do the mission." Boruto explained making me puzzled.

"That's weird...I'm one of the strongest Shinobi's and didn't even get the mission? That doesn't make sense!" I told Boruto, a frown on my face.

"Well...they were doing to assign it to you as well, but....someone stopped them from doing so..." Boruto told me, a shock expression on my face now.

"What?! Who?!" I asked him, ready to go look for the person that stopped the higher ups from letting me go on this mission.

"...I did..." Boruto admitted making me look at him with a puzzled look.

"Y-You?! But Why?!" I asked him, looking at him with a look of hurt.

"I didn't think it was necessary and I wanted you to stay here, just in case bad things happen while I'm gone." Boruto told me, placing one of his arms on my shoulder. "Can you do that for me?" Boruto asking me, giving me a soft smile.

"....okay.." I told him, nodding.

Why does Boruto have to give me his cute smile?! He knows that it always makes me weak in the knees when he does that!

Boruto eventually let go of my shoulder. We hear a horn blow and a shout.

"Shinobi's leaving now!"

"I gotta go" Boruto told me, turning to the front gates. I quickly hugged him, giving his back a soft kiss.

"Be careful, okay?" I told Boruto softly, waiting for him to give me an acknowledgement of some sort.

Boruto nods, saying, "I will" and I let go of him. He walks off without another word.

I watch him leave, even when the front gates were closing in front of me. After the gates closed, I sighed, feeling of uneasiness swelling in my mind.

Be Careful, Boruto..
