I had never felt more alone. Things only got worse. No one was willing to help me, and whenever I needed someone to distract my thoughts, of course Mike was out checking on the pizzeria, or questioning his father.
I usually just curled up in a corner, thinking about the damage caused. I couldn't help but always be reliving that moment. It was all so rushed. Listening to the collapse of my friends as they each took their turn to protect me.
I knew that their plan to keep me safe was the best. After all, no more harm can come to them, leaving me as the only remaining victim. I just wish they'd found another way.
"Miss?" The lady with a clipboard came with my usual announcement, "The inspector wants to see you." I followed, slowly.
I was left to open the door. When I did, the inspector had never looked at me happier. "There are a few more questions, but after that, I'll tell you how to get out of here."
- Mike POV -
I had asked my father my own set of questions, he denied most, but I think I may be closer to freeing the children. Finally he'd admitted with fear that he was a killer. That 'it was so satisfactory to watch the life leave their eyes'.
Having an idea and a half of how to help them, later that day, I returned to Freddy's. With no customers, the animatronics looked totally bored. However, when I walked in, they seemed to brighten up.
The purple bunny spoke among the silence, "Is Y/N with you?"
I shook my head, "no, but she will be soon. We're going through the chances of an escape plan. I promise you, I'm doing the best I can to look after her."
They immediately got back to looking away and swinging their metal legs, impatiently waiting for their childhood friend. I wish I didn't have to, but I had other plans.
Y/N is going to kill me for this. Literally. Okay, step one, power them down. That's the hard part. Step 2, have them all dismantled by tomorrow.
I started heading towards the kitchen when I noticed a golden bear, staring creepily at me. I know that look, it knows what I'm here for. I'm screwed!
But when I thought my life would have ended there and then, it nodded. As if it agreed with my motives.
It knew what I was doing, and that I'm doing the right thing. This has to work. The spirits depend on me now.
And if it doesn't work...
Those five souls will never be freed...
It had to work, I had to be right...
Or Y/N would watch their spirits decay.
- Y/N POV -
For the first time in who knows how long, I was having to hide my smile. When the inspector finished, we discussed an escape plan.
After our time in interrogation ends, the doors unlock for the prisoners' visiting time. They remain unlocked for another 5 minutes. It's a small time gap. But luckily the interrogation room is close enough to the exit to run for it. We just have to hope the officers aren't heavily guarding the place.
To escape, Mike will stand outside the room, waiting for the doors to open. Once I'm out, he will later find the chance to head back to the pizzeria to make sure I wasn't followed, and that I'll be safe.
I was so excited! I'm going home, and Mike's coming too! After our newfound friendship, I can introduce him to everyone, maybe show him where I've hid away. Maybe there'll be a spare pizza to share! Now I just had to wait for tomorrow.
