"So it wouldn't be very chivalrous of me if I left you here at the bar alone. Would you like to join me and my buds over there? They are all harmless." Johnny said pointing to the corner where his group were sat in a discreet sofa area. "I couldn't possibly..." she started. "Ok let me rephrase that... Join me?" He said standing up straight. She smiled "Seriously?" She asked shocked that he would want a stranger to join. "Yes I wouldn't have asked if I didn't mean it." "Umm ok." She bit her bottom lip before sliding off the bar seat, grabbing her clutch bag. She followed him shyly over to his group where they all slowly stopped talking and stared at him and then her. "Guys, this is Annabelle. Annabelle, this is Stephen, his wife Gina, that's Tommy, his wife Sandra, that's my security team Sean, and Travis." Annabelle smiled and held up her hand half waving. "Hi, it's nice to meet you all." "Annabelle's vacation here in Paris isn't quite living up to expectations, I'm hoping we can change that for her?" Johnny said sitting on one of the stalls round the table. The group all nodded and agreed as she slowly perched next to Johnny on another stall.
A while later, the group had begun guessing her career. "A writer?" Gina asked sweetly. "No.." Annabelle replied. "A model?" Asked Travis making the woman smirk. "I wish.. ha no." "A teacher?" Johnny asked from beside her. "A teacher?" She asked questioning him. "Yes you've got that kind nurturing side but also the don't mess with me look in your eyes." She smiled "thank you.. I guess? But no." He rolled his eyes before the group slowly announced they were giving up. "I work in marketing. I'm the creative director for a marketing agency that collaborate with British Vogue." Gina and Sandra's eyes widened. "Vogue? You work with Vogue?" Gina asked, "Yes." Annabelle said quietly. She knew she wasn't the typical stick thin tall model type, she was 5ft 4, and very petite but enjoyed her food unlike her colleagues in the fashion industry. "Wow. That's pretty something. And you're so young to be a director." Sandra said, "Well I didn't go the conventional route. I dropped out of uni within the first months and just worked my way up in the city." Johnny nodded smiling as he took a sip of his drink. "Well I think that's pretty epic. Here's to not being conventional." Tommy said holding up his glass and toasting.
After another round of drinks, Annabelle placed her empty glass down on the table, she had opted to forgo another wine, and joined Gina on a cocktail. "I really should go, I've taken up far too much of your time already." She said politely, "Don't be silly doll. We've loved hanging out with you.. unless you've got some touristy thing to do?" Johnny smirked at his inside joke making Annabelle roll her eyes in jest. "Not tonight but tomorrow I'm heading to The Louvre, I just love the art. I try and go every time I'm here." Johnny smiled, he equally loved art and really liked it when others appreciated it too. "Ok well look here.. what if I sorted something with The Louvre for tomorrow which meant you could stay for a nightcap now?" Annabelle's eyebrows furrowed and Gina's eyes widened at her friend's behaviour. "What do you mean? I can just grab a ticket tomorrow that's what I usually do." "But you've done that a million times by the sounds of it, let me sort something special for you. It's the least I can do." "Johnny you really don't have to.." he cut her off by holding his hand up "Honestly it's nothing. Join me for a nightcap and I'll tell you what I have planned." He slowly stood and headed to the bar, he curled his finger and beckoned her over which she did without even thinking twice. As the pair left the table Gina smirked and looked at her husband "Well that's surprising." "Is it?" "He said he was keen to meet somebody again, eventually." "Yeah I guess. But we know nothing about her." "What is there to know?" "Well I guess that's for us to find out. Do you not just worry every woman could be like her?" Gina asked worried. "We have to trust him, only he knows what is best for him." Stephen replied lifting his glass and finishing his drink.
"Johnny, you really don't need to go to any trouble. Honestly, I would never expect you to organise special treatment. I'll be fine." "Doll you just worry about enjoying your vacation, I'll organise the details." "But Johnny.." she said and then quickly asked the barman to add this round to her room. Johnny smirked and gasped at being played at his own game. "Gotta be quicker than that Depp." She smiled before wandering back to the table with a few glasses in her hands. He quickly approached her from behind and whispered "Ok so it wouldn't be special treatment if I came with you, because I would have to HAVE to have VIP status and security and all that so how does that sound?" Her eyes widened. "What, as in we go together?" "Yes. May I join you tomorrow?" She smiled and bit her lip. "Sure I would like that." "Ok I'll pick you up at 6." He said before rejoining his group. She was confused, was this a date? She placed the drinks down on the table and he moved closer to her discreetly. She looked at him and he smiled "Don't worry.. we are staying in this hotel too. I won't be late." She smiled at how calm he was being compared to her heart that was beating out her chest.
Soon Tommy and Sandra disappeared back to their suite, and Stephen and Gina finished their drinks. "I'll escort Annabelle back and see you guys in the morning." Johnny said hugging his friend and kissing Gina's cheek. "Oh that old chestnut." Stephen said smirking resulting in a stern look from Johnny. Stephen chuckled before Gina hugged Annabelle goodbye "It was wonderful to meet you, thank you for letting me join you." Annabelle said to the Raven haired beauty. "Not at all. It was good fun. Let me know if you're free at all this week. I would love somebody to hit the shops with." Annabelle smiled. "Sure I would love that." The couple disappeared as Annabelle turned to look at Johnny. "I'm staying in this hotel, you don't need to walk me to my room." "Hey, it's no sweat, besides didn't I tell you I want to show you that not all men are total screw ups." Annabelle smiled as he offered her his arm. "Are you sure? What if you're spotted?" "So I'm spotted, recognised, and seen as being a gent. Unless you would prefer not to, I understand." He said sadly. "No. It's sweet, thank you." Johnny led the way to the main foyer before they entered a discreet elevator in the corner that led to the floors with suites on. Travis and Sean followed discreetly before the four of them squeezed into the small space and Annabelle hit the 10th floor button. "Ahh almost penthouse. You've got style." "I upgraded. His credit card was still attached to the booking.." the men smirked and she smiled shrugging her shoulders innocently.
As they exited the elevator, Sean and Travis discreetly lingered at the end of the long hallway as Johnny walked Annabelle to her door. She rummaged in her clutch bag for her key card and finally found it buried under her phone, that was lighting up with an insane amount of messages. "So tomorrow. 6pm ok?" Johnny said grabbing her attention. "At least I now know where to come to get you." He smirked. Annabelle's eyes widened. He was serious about this then. "Umm sure, that sounds lovely but again, I really don't expect you to do anything. I'm fine with getting up in the morning and wandering over there myself, tonight was more than generous." "Shhhh... don't fret. You're doing me a favour. It always seems so ostentatious to arrange special treatment just for me, so this is a joy." She took a breath and nodded "Well if you insist." "I do. Wonderful to meet you Mademoiselle..." she noticed he lingered not knowing her surname. "Davidson. Annabelle Davidson" he smiled "The pleasure was all mine Mademoiselle Davidson.." "Merci Monsieur Depp." He kissed her hand before retreating back down the corridor. She let herself into the suite and closed the door behind her spotting a large bouquet on the table.
