Battle of exes: Johnny Depp's ex women Vanessa Paradis, Kate Moss and Vogue director Annabelle Davidson all attend same fashion party bash in NYC.

"Oh My God. It is fucking everywhere." Annabelle groaned into her Starbucks. Abby smirked "It was always going to be everywhere, its fashion week." "Yes thank you Abby. Don't you have emails to check?" "You told me to avoid the inbox at all costs." "So I did... do you think I should contact him and tell him it wasn't planned?" "No god no.. don't do anything. It will make you look crazy. He dumps you, so you fly across the Atlantic to hang with his exes?" "But that is exactly what I didn't do?" Abby shrugged "yeah but if you contact him he will think that you just wanted the excuse... won't he?" Annabelle groaned once more and took a large sip of her coffee.

The pair wandered around for a while admiring New York in the fall before retreating back to their hotel. As they entered the lobby, Jeffery approached. "Hi!" Annabelle tried to remain professional. "Umm. Hi yourself. You look like you have seen better days.." "Yeah thanks." Belle said rolling her eyes. "Why didn't you tell me?" "Tell you what!?" she stopped and said loudly. "That you were dating, are dating, whatever it is you are doing with Johnny fucking Depp?" "For your information, I am doing nothing of the sort. It was a little fling and he ended it." "And you sat to dinner with his ex and daughter just for fun?" "No.. because you put me in a fucking awkward position, and I was hardly going to blurt out to Vanessa in front of his daughter may I add.. Oh yeah Johnny and I have slept together multiple times." "Jeez Belle, keep your voice down." Abby said moving closer to the pair. "So that is why you were sent here? Because it was causing too much noise back in London?" "I have reporters camped outside my building, I have an ex who thinks we are together, and somewhere in all of that is Johnny thinking I used him." Jeffery's eyes widened. "No wonder your head is not in the game." "yeah well we can't all be perfect can we?" "Look I gotta run my flight leaves in a few hours, but I will catch you when you are back in LA? When is that again? Two weeks?" The man rushed off before Annabelle could think. "Oh god.. I have an LA trip booked don't I?" "Yep.. you were tying it in with going to Johnny's island."

"Johnny.. I had no idea. I'm sorry." Vanessa said in her sweet french voice.
"Ness. It's not your fault, I didn't think. I should have spoken with you. It all happened so fast. I never imagined your paths would cross so soon." He pinched the bridge of his nose as he held the phone to his ear whilst sat at his desk in his office.
"You know I am useless at keeping up to date with the gossip too, if I had known obviously there is no way I would have invited her to sit with us."
"Darling, it's fine. Like you said, it was all strictly professional and done in good faith. You were praising their work non stop before you found out I had a thing with her."
"Well yes, but now it is different."
"In what way?" Johnny asked confused.
"She broke your heart Johnny."
"She didn't break my heart Ness, it was fling, a short term thing, it wouldn't have gone anywhere anyway."
"You don't know that John. Believe it or not, I more than anyone want you to be happy."
"I am happy."
"Are you?" Vanessa asked skeptically.
"Yes. I'm fine. Honest."
"Ok.. look Lily wants to talk to you, I will let you decide what you wish to tell her ok?"
"Sure thing. Put her on."

After a long conversation with his daughter where he dumbed down his relationship and interaction with a certain Annabelle Davidson, Johnny went back to scrolling on his phone. He reviewed all the articles that she was featured in. She was sublimely beautiful, in an old school english elegant way. He surprised himself that he knew she was nervous just by looking at the photographs, he knew she was uncomfortable being in the spotlight, but he couldn't help but admire the photo of just her and his daughter. They had big smiles, and looked as if they knew each other well, not that they had only just met mere hours prior. Annabelle took his breath away, she looked breathtakingly beautiful like she had the first evening he met her. The most attractive thing about her, was she had no idea how stunning she was. Eventually he gave up looking, reminding himself that she had chosen another man, and that road was closed.

Annabelle and Abby spent the most of their sunday in New York city completing Abby's long list of tourist attractions. The former was distracted, and often found herself checking her phone constantly hoping to hear from Johnny, even if it was to scold her once more for being photographed. After checking her phone for the millionth time that day, Abby smirked. "Look.. we need to distract you. We've got nothing to do tomorrow. Why don't we go and get shit-faced and enjoy cocktails at that overpriced rooftop bar?" Annabelle smiled. "I really appreciate it, but I'm done for the day, I'm sorry Abby. Do you mind if I head back?" The latter shook her head and smiled. "It will be ok you know. It won't hurt forever." Annabelle smiled. "Then why does it feel like it will? He was the best thing that ever happened to me. He was the only man who loved me for me. The only one who made me feel like I could be someone you know?" Abby nodded before Annabelle wandered back in the direction of the hotel. The assistant none the wiser, whether her boss was speaking about Dan, or Johnny.
