Hide and seek
It had been a few days since I introduced myself. We're friends now. Well I dont know about Edmund though. Right now we were sitting in their room, It was a rainy evening, I was sitting upside down on the chair, just looking up at the ceiling. . Peter was being quizzed by Susan, Lucy was looking outside the window and Edmund was under a chair doing....I dont know.... Edmund stuff I guess?.
"Gastrovascular" Susan says. I sigh out of boredom, "come on Peter, Gastovascular" She pushes him. "is it Latin?" He asks.
"Yes" Susan says pleased. Edmund sits up "Is it Latin for 'worst game ever invented" He says sarcastically. I smiled secretly agreeing with him, As this 'game' that they've been playing for what felt like hours was nothing but boring. Susan closes the book.
"we could play Hide and seek" Lucy suggests. I try sitting up "yes!", but I fall down, My head landing on Edmunds legs and the rest of me on the floor, Lucy was laughing along with Peter "bloody hell" I groan sitting up not noticing the blush on the Edmunds cheeks.
She looks at Peter once again. "petty please!!" She gives him the puppy dog eyes, "oh you can never say no to those" I mutter.
Peter smiles "one, two, three, four-" What!" Edmund complains. Peter doesnt stop and goes to the door, and covers his face. everyone starts moving, I start searching for a place to hide, I decided to hide behind this curtain i found.
Out of nowhere Edmund comes in and pushes Lucy "I was here first".
"Actually I was " I say he jumps startled. I snigger. he goes to leave but then hears Peter at "85". "Well your going to share" he tells me harshly, "I guess" I roll my eyes.
"ready or not, Here I come!", we here Peter say, But out of nowhere we here Lucy yelling "Its alright, Im here, Im all right", Edmund and I share a look. Edmund opens the curtain and whisper yells "shut up will you!, He's coming!" He sighs and leaves the spot.
"you know, im not quite sure, If you two got the idea of the game" Peter says, "weren't you wondering where I was?" Lucy asks, She sounded a bit stupid in this case. "thats the point, thats why he was seeking you!" Edmund tells her, I hear another pair of footsteps and smirk.
"does this mean I win?" Susan ask, I cough and open the curtains dramatically ,"no I won!", They all looked unamused at my dramatics, I guess they got used to it. "I don't think Lucy wants to play anymore" Peter continues.
"Ive been gone for hours" Lucy says and starts telling us about a wardrobe and a faun?. She takes us to the said wardrobe and Susan parts the coats and shows us the back of the wardrobe, Peter even knocks it from the inside to show that it wasnt fake.
"Lucy the only wood in here is the back of the wardrobe" Susan lectures. "one game at a time Lu, we dont all have your imagination" Peter says but then glances at me, I look at him eyebrows furrowed.
the three of them walk out leaving a tearful Lucy, "im not imagining!"
"thats enough Lucy" Susan says.
"I wouldnt lie about this" tears form in her eyes, "Well, I believe you" Edmund says, "you do?",
"Didn't I tell you about the football field in the bathroom cupboards" Edmund says sarcastically, "no, will you just stop?" Peter lunges at Edmund looking fed up. "you just have to make everything worse dont you?"
"it was just a joke" Edmund defends. "When do you think you'll ever grow up" Peter scoffs.
"Shut up!, You think your dad, but your not!" Edmund shouts and runs of, Susan looks at her brother, "well that was nicely handled" she walks off and Peter follows her sighing.
"Dorothy you believe me right?" she asks me, I tried to find a kinder way to let her down "Lucy, If you get me any small amount of proof I'll for sure believe you, But there is no proof of Narnia" I tell her looking down not meeting her eyes.
She nods a little, "dont give up on what you believe Lucy" I whisper in her ears, "now come on cheer up, Its nice and sunny outside" i drag her outside to distract her from the events of today.
