The Battle of Beruna

The last 1 hour were of planning and in the end we had gotten a sold plan ready, Edmund and I had gotten ourselves in an argument with Peter about the topic of fighting in the war. I had told him about the fencing lessons I had taken back in England would help me, I proved my self by fighting some of the swordsmen and defeating all of them, I owe a big thank you to my parents who forced me into these classes with world class trained fencers. Peter was still absolutely sour with the idea of the both of us fighting. In the end we were ordered to stay near the archers and to never separate.

I had gotten my self ready with the armor, The medieval armor was brilliant and looked great on me. I admired myself in the mirror smiling. I grab my dagger admiring it proudly before pushing the level down, turning it into a sword, storing it in my sheath before leaving my tent.

All of the ones who had bravely volunteered to fight have acquired their said places. I was standing next to Edmund, I could tell he was nervous and worried for his brother who was right in the front. I sigh "dont worry" I say almost more to my self than to him.

"You should take your own advice sometime" He holds my hand squeezing it. I shake my head a small smile etched on my face. a sudden screech takes my attention up to the sky. I squint my eyes seeing an overgrown eagle? It flys past us the wind pleasantly swished past.

it had landed next to Peter and was talking with him, 'Right' something in my brain clicked as I remember discussing that the bird would be the one to give us a quick look through the witches army. It was to see our chances of winning and last minute measures we had to take.

After a few minutes of silence, a minotaur stands on the rock opposing to Peters. my eyes widen seeing the numbers they have. There certanly wasnt this much in the camp, The witch mustve gathered more after we left.

I let out a laugh seeing the polar bears Jadis acquired for her carraige, well I guess its polar bear season?.. "Never thought polar bears would be out in the spring" Edmund chokes on his spit and looks at me amused, "Arent you Einstein" He says sarcastically laughing a bit. I look at him confused.

"Ill explain later Nimrod" He scoffs, "alright dingus" He gives me a look. But then everything gets serious as Peter looks at Edmund, Who nods back reassuringly. I gulp noticing the sick pit in my stomach. We were sent here to stay away from war and here we are fighting a war.

Everyone starts taking their swords out yelling. I gasp as the witches army charges. It was getting all to real for my liking. I glance at Peter worried for his safety, I take my sword out along with Edmund. Holding my shield up.I could tell that our side of the arm was a bit confused on why Peter hadn't given them the command to attack.

We had discussed this, Peter would only give the command when they were close enough for the surprise ambush. "3....2....1" I mutter almost glaring at the opposing army, Edmund glances at me. "Surprise suckers!" I mutter when Peter rears his sword back and slashes the air in front of him.
