The quad at Nevermore was bustling with students who had finished the school day, one student stood out from the rest; Raventhorne Addams. Most people called her Raven, her sister however, called her Thorne, not that she minded.

She turned her head, when she saw her sister with Enid, as she walked over, catching the last part of Enid's conversation, "The whole snarky goth girl thing may have worked at normie school, but here, things are different." She spoke, smiling at Raven, who greeted her sister, "Come on, lets give you the Wiki on the Nevermore social scene." Raven told her sister, who rolled her eyes, "I'm not interested in participating in tribal adolescent cliches." Wednesday said, as Raven shook her head, "Anyway, you have many different type of outcasts, but four main groups, fangs, furs, stoners and scales." Enid spoke, as Raven continued, "The fangs, AKA, vampires." She started, before Enid interjected, "Some of them have literally been here for decades." Raven sent the bubbly she-wolf a smile, before she contiued, "Furs, AKA werewolves, that's Enid's thing. Word of advice? Buy a pair of noise cancelling earphones, full moons can get loud around here." She told her sister, who looked confused.

"That's when the werewolves like to wolf out." She said, as Wednesday nodded, as she saw a girl with her hand in the fountain, "I take it scales are sirens?" She asked, as Enid nodded, impressed, "You catch on quick. That girl, Bianca Barclay is the closest thing Nevermore has to royalty." Raven told her sister, before Enid carried on, "She used to date our resident tortured artist, Xavier Thorpe, but they broke up at the beginning of the semester. Reason unknown." She said, before Raven felt an arm being thrown over her shoulder, looking up, she saw Ajax, her crush, they had this weird relationship, they weren't together, but they acted like it.

"Yo, Enid! You're not gonna believe the dirt I heard about your new roommate." He said, not seeing Wednesday as Enid had hidden her behind her, as Raven covered her mouth to hide the laugh threatening to leave her. "She eats human flesh. Totally chowed down on that kid she murdered. You better watch your back." Ajax told the girl, who stepped to the side, revealing Wednesday, who looked at the Gorgon from the corner of her eye.

"Quite the contrary. I actually fillet the bodies of my victims, then feed them to my menagerie of pets." She told him, as he looked stunned at her, "Ajax, this is Wednesday my new roommate, and Raven's sister." Enid informed the Gorgon, who looked at Raven before looking back at Wednesday.

"Whoa. You're in black and white. Like a living Instagram filter." He said, as Raven shook her head, concealing her laughter behind a cough, as she shook her head, "Ignore him. Gorgons spend way too much time getting stoned. He's cute but clueless." Raven told her sister, as she and Ajax turned and left, going back over to their friends.

"Really? You compared my sister to an instagram filter?" She asked, a laugh leaving her, as he let out a laugh as well, "I couldn't think of what to say." He said, as she shook her head, a smile on her face, as she looked at him, "It's a good thing you're cute." She said, as he smiled, pecking her forehead.

After Wednesday had collected her uniform, and changed into it, it was time for their parents to leave, and so Raven stood with Wednesday as they bid their parents and younger brother goodbye, "Raven, on parents day, we would love to meet Ajax, you speak so highly of him, in your letters." Morticia spoke, as Raven nodded her head, "Of course, Mother, I'll see all of you on Parent's day." Raven spoke, as she kissed her parents cheeks, before she looked at Pugsley, "Be good for Mother and Father." Raven told him, as she pulled him into a hug, before she headed back into the school, knowing that Morticia would want to speak with Wednesday alone. Following her conversation with her mother, Wednesday went to her and Enid's room and took off half of the false coloured glass, which was on her side of the room. When Enid and Raven walked in, having come back from dinner.
