Following their discharge from the infirmary, Raven and Wednesday were in the latter's dorm, Raven was working on her gorgon anatomy homework, and Wednesday was working on her novel, when they both heard rustling. Upon inspection, they discovered, Thing, a dismembered hand from a distant Addams family member.

"I knew it. Hello, Thing." Wednesday spoke, as she looked at the appendage, which attempted to scurry under her bedding, as she grabbed him with both of her hands, as Raven watched, "Did you really think, my highly trained olfactory sense wouldn't pick up on the faint whiff of neroli and bergamot in your favourite hand lotion?" She asked, as she walked over to her desk, "I can do this all day." Wednesday spoke, as Raven stood, as she slammed Thing down onto the hardwood desk, Raven turned the lamp to hover over him, "We both can do this all day." She told the dismembered body part.

The desk trembled under Thing, "Surrender?" Wednesday asked, before the hand began tapping out, as Wednesday let go of it, as it rose to its fingertips, "Mother and Father sent you to spy on me, didn't they?" She asked, as Thing tried lying, Raven crouched down, "I'm not above breaking a few fingers." The brunette Addams told the limb, "The fact that they thought I wouldn't find out, proves how much they underestimate me." Wednesday continued, as if her sister hadn't spoken.

Thing quickly tried explaining, as Wednesday and Raven shared a look, before turning back to the hand in question, "Oh, Thing, you poor, naïve appendage." Wednesday spoke, her tone dripping with sarcasm, before continuing, "My parents aren't worried about me. They're evil puppeteers who want to pull my strings even from afar." Wednesday said, knowing Morticia and Gomez wouldn't have done this to Raven, although she knew her sister rather enjoyed being at Nevermore.

"The way I see it, you have two options. Option one; I lock you in here for the rest of the semester, and you slowly go insane, trying to claw your way out, ruining your nails and your smooth, supple skin. And, we both know how vain you are." She told the hand, which was already clawing at the desk, before Wednesday planted him on the desk again.

"Option two;  you pledge your undying loyalty to us." Raven told the hand, who quickly knelt on its middle and pointer fingers, before Raven stood again, as she looked at the time, "I have work, I work at the coffee shop in Jericho, the Weathervane, you should drop by." She told her sister, as she left, going to her dorm to change into her clothes, before she was taken into the town by Miss Thornhill, who would usually wait until her shift was over to bring her back to the school.

Wednesday would soon venture into Jericho to meet with Valerie Kinbott, her court ordered therapist, although she would soon flee out of the bathroom window, shimmy a drainpipe, bump into a farmer, have a vision about the death of said farmer, and enter the Weathervane.

Raven was serving customers, when she saw her sister enter the coffee shop, Tyler was trying to fix the machine, as she sat on a chair behind the register, "Holy Crap!" Tyler said, as he jumped back, seeing Wednesday once the thick layer of steam from the espresso machine evaporated into thin air.

"Do you make a habit of scaring the hell out of people?" He asked the youngest of the Addams' girls, as she looked at him, as Raven restocked the drip coffee.

"It's more of a hobby." She deadpanned, as Tyler took in the uniform that she was wearing, "You go to Nevermore." He noted, as Raven rolled her eyes, he had a knack for pointing out the obvious, "Didn't realise they changed the uniform." He said, as Raven spoke up, "They haven't, me and my sister are the exceptions." She told him, as he looked at her, as she nodded.

"I need a quad over ice. It's an emergency." Wednesday said, disregarding any attempt of small talk made by Tyler, who looked confused, "It's four shots of espresso." She told him, as he looked at her, "Yeah, I know what a quad is, but, spoiler alert, the espresso machine's having a seizure." He said, as Raven spoke up, "We only have drip." She told her sister, who looked between her and Tyler, "But drip is for people who hate themselves and know their lives have no real purpose or meaning." She deadpanned, as Raven sighed, before she looked at the clock, realising her shift was almost up, as she began getting ready to clock out.
