Chapter 8 - Hugs

2 weeks go by and everything is smooth. No troubles no arguments you, Jungkook, Taehyung, Hyeri, and Jimin have become really close friends. You and Jungkook especially have become very close friends. He is your bench partner, he stays near your house, you go to the same gym and he is a regular at the café you work part-time at so you are most of the time surrounded by Jungkook. You are closer to Jungkook than you are to Hyeri though she is your best friend too.

Y/n: "Morning people!"

Jungkook: "Heya!"

Taehyung: "Hellow!"

Y/n: "Hyeri is down with a cold she will be absent today."

Jungkook: "Oh I hope she gets better soon. Does Jimin know?"

Y/n: "He was the one who informed me."

Jungkook: "Alright then. Y/n here I finally got this candy!"

Y/n: excited "Do you mean the one that looks like a chili?"

Jungkook: shows the candies "Yes!"

You loved those candies a lot as your brother used to buy them for you but since he is currently in a coma state you never got a chance to have them, now that Jungkook bought them for you, happiness engulfs you, and without realizing you end up hugging Jungkook in front of the whole class.

Y/n: happily "Thank you so much, Kook!"

Jungkook is startled not because you hugged him by now he is used to your hugs but he was startled because you hugged him in front of everyone and now the entire class's attention is on you both.

Realization hits you and you now completely embarrassed lean out of the hug and smile embarrassedly at the class.

Y/n: "What? Friends can't even hug! Continue with your work guys and chill, don't be too old school." You nervously laugh

Jungkook is a blushing mess. He loved your hugs but this one was unexpected. You and Jungkook both settle on your seats and just look away you both are equally blushing like idiots. Taehyung is just laughing his ass off and you glare at him angrily which is not helping because he does not plan to stop laughing anytime soon, not today.

Y/n: thank god Hyeri is absent or else she would tease me for my entire life and look at him blushing like a cutie pie!

The day ends, and as usual, you and Jungkook leave together and Taehyung leaves on his bike.

Y/n: "Thank you so much for these candies Jungkook! You have no idea how much I love these. My brother used to get these for me." you don't know that Jungkook knows about your brother

Jungkook: "I remember you telling me that you loved these chilli-like-looking candies so I found it in a convenience store." Hoof, I spent whole 3 hours to find 'em but it was worth it coz you hugged me Y/n and I loved it, you were happy

Y/n: "Aww boi! Hmm, and I haven't told you about my brother right....Actually, my brother is in a coma right now because he was in a car accident last year. I should have told you more about me earlier but I did not feel like it. There is more horrible stuff but I don't want to talk about it. right now. Sorry for not being open with you Jungkook."

Jungkook: "Shh! Places a finger over your lips to make you quiet. It is alright. If you don't want to talk about it then you don't have to. You don't need to talk about painful memories. I am here to keep you happy."

Y/n: your heart skips a beat on hearing the last sentence "Thank you for existing Jungkook!"

Jungkook: "You're welcome ma'am." Showing his bunny smile
