James' POV~

I pulled into the hospital in such a rush, I almost crashed the car while parking. I ran to the other side, shaking Kameryn as I tried to wake her. "Kameryn, come on get up honey, I need you to wake up." I said.

She didn't even budge and I instantly started to panic. I unbuckled her and ran to the doors of the hospital. I ran through the door before it even opened all the way.

"Help! I need help over here!!" I yelled. Two nurses instantly ran to me and started asking questions.

"Her name is Kameryn Smith, she was kidnapped by who she thought was her father and her ex boyfriend. They beat and raped her multiple times and she needs help. At first I didn't believe she had head trauma but she fell asleep for the first time in probably weeks in the car on the way here and now she won't wake up." I said, breathing heavily because I pretty much said that in one big breath.

The nurse nodded and yelled for other doctors to come, talking to them at rapid speeds. They took her out of my arms and placed her on a gurney and started wheeling her away to the emergency room. I sprung up to follow but two doctors held me back.

"Sir you can't go with them, we need you here to fill out papers and answer questions." I finally stopped struggling and wiped the tears that I didn't know were there.

I followed them to the counter and the man started talking to me. "Now when you came in here, you said she was kidnapped?", he asked with a concerned look.

I nodded my head and told them all about the events that have occurred, from Derek and Mike breaking into my house and tying me up, from them kidnaping Kameryn, everything they did to her, and how long they had her, which was about three weeks. I also had to explain how I found out I was her father, being, I've only known for about two weeks.

The first week they had Kameryn, it was mostly Derek beating and raping her, then Mike started taking his turns. And I guess he became suspicious, not seeing any similarities between the two, then it came to him. I was her father.

He took some of her blood and got it tested, coming to find that he wasn't her father, I was. He then lost interest with her, but Derek didn't.

I overheard them talking about what they were going to do to her. They were either going to kill her, or dump her on the side of the road, probably also resulting with her death. I couldn't let that happen, I had to save Kameryn, bring her home to her family, hopefully be a part of her family, be the family Lin and I planned to be from the beginning, be the father she always needed. So, one night while they were eating take out on my couch like the pigs they are, I took my chance.

I was able to get myself out of the room they had me in, which happened to be my guest bedroom, and made my way to the living room. I snuck up on them both and started on Derek. He was easy to knock out, only took one punch.
Then Mike came at me and he had me under him, punching me repeatedly. I thought I wasn't going to be able to get out of his grasp, but that's when I thought about how he ruined my life, what he did to the love of my life, how our life could have been if he never came into it. Then all the anger and hatred I've been holding in, reserved just for him, came out. I was able to flip us and punch him once, then twice, causing him to fall unconscious. I wanted to keep beating him until he was dead but I knew I had to save Kameryn and get her out of here before it was too late.

I'll kill that bastard later.

I then thought about Linda, the love of my life. We had the most amazing relationship, we were engaged to be married the following spring, but th-

I was pulled from my thoughts by the doctor I was speaking to before. He handed me papers I needed to fill out, but before I could he stopped me, "We contacted the police, Ms. Smith's guardian filed a missing report on her and the police are contacting her mother as we speak. She and other loved ones will be on their way shortly. Also, we gave the address of your house to them, they are there arresting those... Excuse my language... bastards, now." I smiled and thanked them, walking to fill out the paperwork they had given me.
