Chapter 22

Kameryn's POV~

After about an hour and a half of screaming the lyrics to songs, cracking jokes, and talking about random stuff, we finally reached the beach. Everybody hopped out of the van and I bet it looked like a clown car. The van fits 8 people comfortably, but we had 10 people piling out of the van, the next time we do this we should probably consider taking the rental car.

We grabbed all of our stuff and we all raced to an open spot. Considering how nice it was out, there really wern't many people at all there. Once we found a spot, we threw all our stuff down and laid out the towels for us to lie on. Instead of tanning first like I usually do, we all just took our surfboards and started running to the water. Then I remembered something, crap! Kaitlyn still dosn't know how to surf!! I turned around to face everyone and said, "wait, can someone teach Kaitlyn how to surf?" Ross grinned and said, "I'll do it!" Kaitlyn's head shot up and a smile formed to her face. Ross took his surfboard, along with an extra one she'd be using and led her a couple feet away to an empty area to start her training.

I grabbed Ryland's hand and led him to the water... time to get my surfing on! We pattled out pretty for and the waves were awesome! I can't wait to see Kaitlyn when she rides one of these!

Ryland and I were just sitting there, enjoying the waves and the breeze when I saw his eyes on my side, the one with the huge scar from Derek. I bit my lip, I hate when people notice it. He looked pissed but his eyes turned soft and he looked me in the eyes. He pushed hair out of my face and said, "I'm so sorry he treated you so horribly and did that to you baby." He didn't have to say anymore, I knew what he was talking about. I gave a half hearted smile and said, "it's ok, I have you now." He smiled and pecked my lips, he tasted like salt water. "Yeah you do, and I swear on EVERYTHING if I ever see this guy, I am going to beat his ass." I smiled and said, "I bet you will Ry."

He grinned and turned his head to the left and saw a big wave coming. "Come on babe, let's surf this one to shore." I nodded, a huge grin on my face and started paddling. We both rode the wave all the way to shore and there was a ton of clapping after that.

We surfed a couple more waves until we saw Kaitlyn jump up and hug Ross. He was holding her and spinning her around, and her arms were wrapped around his neck. Seriously?!?!? I missed my little sister's first wave?!?! Aww, well I bet she did great, well she must have if she's that happy. Ry turned to me and said, "do you think Ross and Kaitlyn like each other?" I shrugged and said, "probably, but they probably won't do anything about it for a while, especially considering Kaitlyn's only 13, well she will be 14 in a month and a half but still. And they're really close friends, but they'd be really cute together." Ryland nodded and said, "I hope they do get together, I've never seen Ross that happy before, he's got a different glow in his eyes." "Really?" I asked. He smiled, "yeah, I can tell, I bet you they'll end up getting married." I laughed, "Woah there, you're getting a little far ahead of yourself, don't you think?" He just shrugged his shoulders and laughed.

Kaitlyn's POV~ (Oohhhhh... something new :)))

It took over an hour, but I finally rode my first wave! I've been wanting to do that since I was little!! Kameryn was always super interested in surfing and she kinda got me hooked on it too. As soon as I finished the wave, I hopped off the board and ran to Ross. He smiled and opened his arms for a hug. He picked me up and spun me around and I let out a laugh. "That was so amazing Kaitlyn!! I'm so proud of you!!" I smiled and squeezed him tighter in our hug. "Thank you so much Ross! I couldn't have done it without you!!" That was seriously the most amazing feeling I have ever experienced, and I got to do it with my best friend! If you would have told me a month ago that my sister would be dating Ryland Lynch and I'd be best friends with Ross Lynch, I probably would have called an insane asylum for you.
