It was a beautiful day, you and Ronald held hands as you both walked down the sidewalk. You looked at the kids drawing with chalk on the pavement, and the butterflies fluttering through the warm summer air, just like your heart does every time you meet eyes with Ronald. It had been a few weeks since he had been released, you felt joyful and at peace in Ronald's presence, he made you feel whole and safe. "It sure is a beautiful day my McMuffin..." Ronald had said in a loving voice, "H-huh! Y-yeah! It is!!" you said in response. "I want to take you somewhere for dinner tonight..." he said shyly while blushing. "That sounds lovely!! Reminds me of our first date!!", "That was a great night 😏.". You turn away blushing, Ronald lets go of your hand to put his arm around you.
"Let's take a break on this bench, apple pie."
