Time moved far too slowly and Eva worked as much as they allowed her. Liam was due back today. He said he'd call as soon as he landed. She put books on shelves as fast as she could. Her shift was almost over and she wanted to be home when she got the text. She wanted to be ready.

"Hey, miss, can you help me find a book?" a voice whispered in her ear.

She felt her heart melt. He was here. He was behind her. Eva turned around and threw herself into Liam's arms. Wrapping his arms around her waist, he lifted her right of her feet, holding tightly, like he didn't want to let her go. When he set her down, he raised his hand up to her face and stroked her cheek with rough fingers. "I've missed you so much, Evie." he murmured as he leaned in and gave her a soft careful kiss, feeling shy after being gone for so long. Their lips moved together as they got to know each other again.

"Ms. Stuart! What is going on?" they heard the Librarian gasp. Eva knew she was in trouble. This woman wasn't going to put up with much more before she fired Eva. "Your shift is OVER. Please leave!"

"I'm so sorry, it's just that I haven't seen him in a month and he just got back. Please don't fire me. I need this job." Eva pleaded.

"Pfft! Ms. Stuart, this is your last chance. You are suspended for a week. There are many people waiting for a job who would be glad of it! Treat this job seriously. Next time, I WILL fire you. Now go! I don't want to see you until next Wednesday." she said as she stomped off.

Eva immediately burst into tears. "I...I...nnnneed this job!" she cried, bringing herself into such a state that she beginning to hyperventilate.

Liam pulled her close and rubbed her back. "I'm sorry, Love. I just wanted to see you. Dylan told me you were here. I should have just waited. I'm so sorry. Calm down. It's fine." He led her out of the library and to his Land Rover. She had managed to stop crying, but she was still visibly upset.

"I hate getting trouble. I hate being yelled at." Eva started.

"Nobody LIKES to get yelled at, Evie, its fine. Relax. Don't worry about money. I have plenty. I share!" he grinned at her.

She scowled back. "Liam."

Letting out a sigh, Liam drove the SUV away from the library. "Why won't you let me help you? I love you. I want to help you."

"And what happens if you leave? What happens if you get bored of me and move on? I need to be able to take care of myself. I don't have anyone else."

"You have me" Liam stated. "For as long as you want me, you have me."

Eva sighed and looked out the window, hoping that this was the truth.

The next few weeks were perfect, as far as Eva was concerned. They spend every moment possible together, going to movies, eating out, going dancing at clubs. The nights were even better. They slowly discovered each other's bodies, Liam always being gentle and patient with her.

"No, Liam!" Eva said pushing his had away from her jeans. "I'm not ready for that."

"I understand, Love, but I can't take much more." Liam complained. She could feel what he meant against her leg. Liam rolled off her and sighed.

"Could...hmmm..." Eva began.

"Could what, Evie?" He asked. She nodded her head down to the throbbing erection concealed by his boxer shorts. "You want to touch me?" She nodded, shyly, feeling uncertain. "Have you ever...?" Eva shook her head. "Are you going to talk to me?" She shook her head again. "Okay, do you want me to show you with your hand?" Once more, she nodded.
