C: hey, I have some news

D: Colin, I just got Auggie to bed.

Simons: This better be important

B: For God's sake, it's nearly 2 in the morning. Can't it wait? 🙄

C: nope

A: Well, what is it then? Some of us have children to think about in the morning.

C: as do I 😊

E: what.

H: ooh this is too good! 🍿

A: Colin Bridgerton, this better be a fucking joke.

Mum: Anthony, language.

C: it's not a joke

A: Did you knock someone up or is this another Marina situation? Because either way, I'm not happy.

E: Colin, i'm going to kill you tomorrow morning. you're dead, you bastard! how could you do that to my Pen?!

Mum: Eloise.

G: seriously, Colin, how could you?

F: Poor Penelope.

Mum: Colin, please tell me it isn't true.

C: IT'S NOT!
Penelope is pregnant, you idiots
you know? my wife

E: oh.

Mum: That's wonderful news, Colin! I'm so happy for both of you. ❤️
Let me know when I can start planning the baby shower.

D: Count me in for the shower, Mum. Congratulations, Colin. You're going to make amazing parents.

Simon: Congrats, man

A: I'm happy for you, Colin. You're going to make a great father.

B: Soph and I are happy for you too. Congrats, Col.

F: Congratulations, Colin. ❤️

H: just for the record, i knew it
Pen was glowing at her party earlier🤰

G: congrats, Col
my condolences to your wife and unborn child

Kate: Congratulations to you and Penelope, Colin. Ant, shut off your phone right now, or you're changing our baby's diapers indefinitely.

Ginger: El?

Scary: so...you're pregnant?

Ginger: I am.

Scary: okay

Ginger: That's it?
El, please just say what you want to say.

Scary: i'm happy for you, Pen
honestly, i am

Ginger: But?

Scary: you're going to be a mum, Pen

Ginger: I'm very aware of that, yes.

Scary: things are going to change. you and Colin will have the baby, and you won't want me around anymore. i can't even be the fun aunt Eloise. i'm terrible with kids.

Ginger: El, of course things are going to change, but it will be GOOD. First of all, the kid will be half me, so you'll love them already. Second, just because I'm opening up my heart to this baby, doesn't mean there won't still be room in there for my best friend. I didn't drop you when I married Colin, and I'm not going to now. Especially when I need you most.
This ginger will always need her Scary Spice.

Scary: so...we're still going on the reunion tour?

Ginger: I wouldn't miss it.
I love you, El. ❤️

Scary: i love you too, Pen

Penelope: Everyone, I have some news.
I'm pregnant. Colin and I are having a baby.

Mum: Finally. I was wondering when you were going to officially snag the Bridgerton boy.

Penelope: Colin and I have been married for nearly a year, Mama.

Mum: My point exactly.

Phillipa: I'm happy for you, Penny. You'll be a great Mum. ☺️

Penelope: Thanks, Pip.

Prudence: I'm happy for you too, Penny. Start looking for maternity clothes now, though. We Featherington women tend to blow up like balloons before the end of the second trimester.

Mum: It's true.

Phillipa: Albie says he has some good cheeses for you if you get any cravings 🧀
I know I did

Prudence: Ugh, I couldn't stand the smell of cheese while I was pregnant. I didn't let Harry keep any in the house during the whole nine months. Both times.

Penelope: Thanks, Pru. Thanks, Pip.

Mum: Felicity, congratulate your sister.

Felicity: i can't believe you told Hy before me
rude

Penelope: It wasn't my idea. Colin really wanted to tell people. He texted the family group chat last night.

Felicity: still
i GUESS i can be happy for you
IF you make sure i'm the baby's favorite aunt

Penelope: The baby is going to have like nine aunts, counting Kate and Sophie. I can't control the opinions of my unborn child.

Felicity: try

Penelope: I'll see what I can do. 🙄

"You know, when all this family stuff got overwhelming, we just eloped. Is there an equivalent to that with having a baby?" Penelope asked Colin, setting her phone down.

Colin walked up behind her and wrapped his arms around her stomach. She wasn't even showing yet, but he was already fascinated by the fact that their little guy or girl was in there.

"We could stay in Greece until the baby arrives," Colin suggested, not at all seriously. Then again, when he suggested eloping, he wasn't serious then either. Penelope turned around and gave her husband a knowing look. "I'll change the tickets."
