Summary: The Captain is hiding something beneith the surface. Will the reader be able to handle what he's hiding? Or will her curiosity get her ass into something she can't handle?

You look out on the small little farm that is apparently Clint Barton's home, after meeting his wife and kids that you didn't know he had.

You step lightly, something that you have learned to do on a daily basis because of your new colleagues.

You walk forwards on the porch trying to get some air from the tense environment that was currently being created inside the Burton residence.

You find Clint kneeling on the porch messing with the railings so you walk over placing yourself beside him. You glace over to see what Clint is watching and see Steve and Tony chopping wood.

Your gaze lingers on Steve as you watch his arms and chest move with each swing.

You're not sure why the sight makes you chuckle quietly to yourself, but it does. Perhaps because seeing the super soldier and the 'man of iron'--as Thor calls him-- do something so domestic is funny to you.

You see Steve's protective stance and see that things between him and Tony are getting a little heated.

You grasp one of the columns in front of you so you can hear their argument; and from what you hear you can see that things might get violent extremely fast.

You watch Tony face Steve before saying "That would END the team! Isn't that the mission? Isn't that the why we fight? So we can end the fight? So we can get to go home?"

You watch Tony's defensive posture stand taller as Steve split's a hunk of wood apart with his bare hands.

Whoa that was hot. You think quietly to yourself before pushing Clint suggestively.

Clint just looks up at you and shrugs nonchalantly, to which you smack him on the shoulder and he gets up and goes in the house.

You look back over to Steve's obviously infuriated stance as he continues "Every time someone tried to end a war before it starts innocent people die. Every time."

You watch the friction between Steve and Tony and you can't help but feel for Tony, even though you know the Captain is right.

You roll your eyes at Clint as he returns to your side as his wife to goes and asks Tony to take a look at the old tractor.

You put your hand on your hip dramatically "You sent your wife? Your Pregnant Wife?"

Clint looks at you with a big smile on his face "My wife handles me and two kids. I think she can handle Tony."

As Tony walks over to the barn you quietly walk up behind Steve "Everything alright here, Cap?"

Steve ignores you as he turns and continues swinging the ax over his head before smirking "Yeah sure. Tony's created a monster hell-bent on killing all humans, and now we have to find a way to stop him."

You smile as you step in front of Steve so you can look him in the eye as you continue:

"Com'on Steve. Don't be so hard on Tony."
