Original Imagine: Hello, I do not know if it's possible but I have a request for a one shot based on the song "Undisclosed Desires" by Muse with Steve Rogers and the reader. Thanks & please!

Reader Gender: Female

Warnings: Triggers (Depression) (Self Worth) (Self Esteem Issues) (Suicidal Thoughts)

Author's Note: Okay . . . This was inspired by my own life experiences. Like stated in the warnings there are major triggers in this . . . So if you're light hearted; enter at your own expense. This was something I'd wanted to do for a while now, and this prompt for this song jarred loose some feelings that needed to be addressed. So thank you for my Anon who made me deal with this to write this. I appreciate it. Really. I love you all, and wish you all well. Stay strong my friends. And Always Keep Fighting.

The adolescent mind is a wonderfully complex thing, the brain is not yet fully developed but you are still able to make some major-ish life decisions. Your life had been like any other normal adolescent's life; with one significant turn. (At least it was in your mind.)

When you were around fifteen years old you had made a decision, one that you had not fully understood why and how much it would affect your life until you were older, much older.

You were currently a twenty year old Avenger-In-Training who was currently free falling about eighty feet from the ground.

The one enhanced player on the field and you had found her, Good job (Y/N). You knew something was off the second the 'Scarlet Witch' had messed with your head. You felt emotions that you had locked away a long time ago surface once more.

The chill in the air whooshing past your thighs was currently chilling you to the bone, causing you to shiver violently as you continued to free fall towards the ground.

Suddenly you felt the comforting strong arms of a stranger wind around your waist but your mind was lost; it was somewhere else, somewhere darker.

You had been focusing on your meditating lately, trying to keep the bad thoughts at bay. It's too bad that at this moment, your thoughts were stronger than that of your will.

You could feel the flashback trying to pry its way out of your subconscious. Your hands were shaking. Your palms are sweaty. The feeling of impending doom racking every inch of your currently overly active brain.

Shut it down. Now.

Every inch of your body ached with the sad, but oh so familiar pain.

You hated this feeling, helplessness. You were stronger than this. You are stronger than this.

You saw the blinding white light flash before your eyes and you were transported back to a time where you were cold, alone, and making deals with the darkness that you kept hidden deep inside of you.

* * You look around a small cramped bedroom. It had pink walls and Cinderella wallpaper; it was painstakingly familiar. Cold. It was so cold. You run your hands down your arms as you walk down to the bottom of the bed, seeing a small body almost doubled upon itself. Your heart sinks. Everything around you goes darker.

As you walk over, your eyes widen. Your head starts to throb as an old glimpse of a memory hammers against your head. No, this isn't me. It can't be. No.

Suddenly you're transported into the small huddled mass. You glance around the room, momentarily dazed by the sudden intensity of the recalled memory. A single sob escapes your chest as you realize, this is me. I remember this.
