The soft grass crumpled underneath Foolish's feet as he wandered across the plains. His plans of adventuring had been going well. He had stumbled across 3 dungeons, 2 towers, and a handful of villages. Looting them as he went, his backpacks filled with more and more trinkets he would take home and sort. Some of the items were less valuable to him, but he knew he could give them away to his daughter or husband. Content with his exploring for the day, he glanced at his map to begin the journey home.

Walking through the forests, Foolish's mind began to wander. He wasn't expecting much going through the dungeons, but his luck had treated him pretty well. Collecting some rare items, some building materials, and some trinkets for his daughter was more than enough to satiate his want for adventure. He was excited to get back home and show his daughter what all he got. Not that he would admit it, but seeing her happy was all he ever wanted to accomplish in life. She was a little spoiled because of it, but he didn't care, seeing her happy was worth it.

Walking out of the forest he couldn't help but smile at the thought of her reaction. Foolish's gaze shifted down to his map, checking to see how much longer it would take to get home. The purple heart that marked his home was another hour away. He sighed and put the map back in his bag. The next part of the journey was pretty easy, but he knew it was going to feel like days. All he wanted was to be home with his family.

A slight breeze blew across the field and rusted the grass beneath him. As tedious as it was to walk home, it was peaceful, he had to admit. Looking out across the field, he saw the sun beginning to set and the sky turning to a dusty blue. As Foolish walked along entranced by his surroundings, a gentle brush against his leg startled him. He looked down to see a black cat, its soft fur caressing his calf.

"Awww you're a cute little guy aren't you?" Foolish questioned. He crouched down, sticking his hand out to pet the cat. "I am allergic to you though, so be careful bucko."

The cat walked towards Foolish's outstretched hand, allowing him to scratch behind his ears. Foolish giggled when the cat licked his hand. Giving in to the cat, he sat criss-cross on the ground. Immediately, the cat pranced over and jumped into his lap.

"Oh, okay, this is what we're doing? Yeah alright, sure, why not. Um, I am still allergic to you so don't get too comfortable," Foolish said tentatively.

The cat quirked its head at him and purred. It rubbed its head against Foolish's chest before jumping off of his lap. It sat down in front of him, staring. Foolish looked back at the cat.

"ACHOO!"

"Ah geez, ah man, oh my nose is so itchy," he mumbled. "Okay, okay, that's my cue to get going I suppose. Thanks for hanging out with me bucko."

Foolish stood up from the ground and continued walking. He only got a couple steps before he heard a meow from behind him. Turning around, he looked down to see the cat rubbing against his leg.

"Oh, dude, um you're not coming," he looked down at the cat.

"Meow."

"No, don't meow, I'm allergic to you. Also if you come with me, Leo's gonna want to keep you, and that's really doing the most," he said. "As cute as you are you can't come. I can't adopt you buddy."

"Meow."

"Ah geez," Foolish looked down at the cat. "You're coming with me, aren't you?"

"Meow," the cat cocked its head at him.

"Yeah, alright fine," Foolish reached down and picked up the cat. "But you have to stay in here."

Foolish opened his backpack and moved around his items to make space for the cat. Once he was done, he carefully lowered the cat into his backpack, putting it on backwards, so the backpack was on his chest. He left the backpack unclasped, so the cat could poke his head out of top.

"Strap in bucko, we got a bit of walking to do."

Finally arriving home, Foolish set down his backpack. The cat immediately hopped out, and sat down in front of him.

"Well go ahead, look around," he told it. "This is your home now too."

He watched as the midnight colored cat strolled around the tower floor. It sniffed a few things here and there, ultimately deciding to settle on Leo's bed. Smiling, he walked over and scratched behind the cat's ears.

"I'll have to ask V to grab some allergy meds on the way home," he sighed. "I'm gonna need them."

Soon enough, Vegetta and Leo arrived home. Leo bounded up to the roof to check on Rey, yelling a quick hola to Foolish. Vegetta walked into the tower's main room, looking for his husband.

"Mi amor, ¿Para qué necesita el medicamento para la alergia?" Vegetta questioned, walking towards his husband. He kissed him on the cheek and set the meds on the table.

"Ir a cuarto de Leo," he responded, chuckling.

Vegetta raised an eyebrow at his husband, but walked towards Leo's room with Foolish following behind him. He walked into Leo's room, spotting the black cat curled up on the end of Leo's bed.

"¿Qué es esto, cuándo conseguiste un gato?" Vegetta laughed.

"I went exploring today and I found him on the way home," Foolish explained. "I didn't plan on keeping him but he was very insistent."

Vegetta smiled at his husband and shook his head.

"¿Leo ya lo ha visto?" he asked.

"No, aún no." he responded. "¿Puedes ir a buscarla?"

"Sí, sí."

A few moments later, Vegetta returned with Leo in his arms.

"Leo, mira," he pointed at the bed. Leo's eyes went wide as she spotted the cat. Squirming out of Vegetta's arms, she bounded over to the bed, immediately picking up the cat.

"¿Qué es esto, pa?" she asked. "La podemos mantener?"

Vegetta nodded. "Puedes nombrarlo también, mi hija."

Leo pondered for a minute.

"¿Es un niño o una niña?" she inquired.

Vegetta looked at Foolish, who shrugged. He rolled his eyes and chuckled, unsurprised that his husband hadn't checked. Picking up the cat, he determined that the cat was a boy.

"Es un niño," he nodded, handing the cat back to his daughter.

"Entonces lo llamaré Merlín," she stated, cuddling him close to her chest. "¿No es así Merlín?"

Foolish walked over to his husband, putting his arm around him and laying his head on his shoulder. Vegetta kissed the top of his head, and looked back to his daughter.

"You're a good dad, you know?" he whispered.

Foolish smiled. "Yeah, I do what I can."

Vegetta grabbed Foolish's hand, and walked over to his daughter's bed. The pair sat down, and Foolish grabbed her, pulling her into his lap. Merlin, settled between them, purring contently. Leo quickly fell asleep in the comfort of her dad's arms, Foolish following shortly after. Vegetta looked over at them and smiled. He gave them each a kiss and settled in. He could get used to more nights like these.
