Walking up to the library felt as if time took a very long, leisurely stroll through its very own garden. Half of me was comforted and excited to be in his aura again. As if my body can't get enough air without him near me. Yet the other half is completely shunning any idea of being with Desmond for a night. Even if it would only be an hour.

My backpack gradually got warmer sitting on my back. My feet led me the long way from my dorm to the university's library.

Passing by the water fountain, the sports field, and the lotus lake. The rays of the moon penetrated through tall trees, onto the lake Beautiful golden glowing lotus flowers floated on the surface. They tempted me to forget this session. To jump in and float amongst them. Lotus Lake is known for the famous lavender lotus' that soothes any emotional standing. The result time is within a reasonable amount considering the emotion.

I opened the grand doors to the library. It is a separate building that stands next to our grand greenhouse behind the main classroom building. Its lavishness knows no bounds with the blackwood carved into every corner and shelf that cradled each historical magic book. Climbing the stairs, I realized that I had forgotten a drink. I've gone days without eating before, I can get through an hour without water. (Only after studying like a thirsty mermaid for the entry exams, I ruled all food and drinks out of my allotted studying time.) I finally arrived on the third floor. Yet with these heels, it felt like the tenth floor.

I looked around for the colossal aura of an egoistic vampire and sure enough, I found him in the corner across the building. Even better.

A mostly secluded area.

Yay.

Desmond gazed up from his illucon for a second. Taking all of her in before she could notice. His glasses reflect off of the candles and starlight within the library.

Of course, there were stars in the library for late-night studying. But they would only be bright during days or nights of tests, essays, and finals. Fickle things that could even dim out if they sensed you doing things other than studying.

"Mi pequeño dulce." The vampire waved to the seat right across from him. The long wooden table is etched with beautiful curves and spirals on each leg.

The witch took a seat, resting her backpack in the chair beside her. She crossed her legs with a sigh. Earning a raised brow from the vampire.

Managing through her illucon she became very grateful to her professor, Ms. Fois, for teaching her how to balance her mana and energy for something minor. The witch just needs to work on her major bouts of energy and mana now.

"My sweet, you do not seem as energized as earlier. I know this cannot be your bedtime." Playful eyes set into the woman's own.

"I've just been stressed since you told me about my participation in this upcoming event." It wasn't a lie per se, but my mind swept back to the Twilight movie that I continued to enjoy by myself as Julia shopped for ballgowns. I can't help but like the series in secret because I know my friends would poke fun at me for being Team Jasper. Or Team Vampire at all considering the one in front of me has flirted openly with me this entire year. Not that I hate it, I certainly enjoy the "darling" and "my sweet" and much more in his voice.

"Before I put my greatness onto your paper, I want you to grab a few books on human historical events and famous family heirs or heirlooms. It would do you well to know of their stories." His mellifluous voice sounded hoarse but still pleasing, even after the woman realized he had read her mind with ease.
