Chapter 1

Punishment

"I'm sorry, this school will never accept Mr. Asmael again. He have caused enough trouble for the council to ban him . I'm afraid, you need to transfer him to a different school now. Besides, hindi rin naman nya ginagamit sa ayos ang ability nya. Instead, he's using it cause trouble for the whole school to despise him."

Tahimik lang akong nakikinig sa Dean habang pinapanuod ang reaksyon ni tita, na kausap nito. Just looking at how calm her expression is right now, I know I fucked up. I'm not going to justify the trouble that I've caused kasi aminado akong hindi nga yun maganda sa paningin ng iba. I saved a girl from being bullied by other students, pero anong napala ko? I got stabbed in the back. What did I do to those bully? I made them taste their own medicine. Hindi rin siguro natuwa ang buong school sa nangyari, as a boy, pumatol ako sa babae and humiliate them--I shaved the middle top of their heads.

I think sumobra nga ang ginawa ko.

Higit ang hininga na sinundan ko si tita papunta sa karwahe na naghihintay sa labas ng gate ng academy. Pagkapasok palang namin sa loob ay dumampi na sa pisngi ko ang palad nya. Ramdam ko ang galit nya dahil sa sobrang lakas ng pagkasampal nya sa akin, pero hindi ako kumibo at tinanggap lang ito.

Pagkasabi nyang yun ay nagsimulang umandar and karwahe papunta sa..border? I know what's the difference between the flying city and the lower city. Kung galing ka sa lower city at gusto mong makarating sa flying city, you need to gain some merit first or improve your fighting ability. If you're born here in the flying city...then it's called luck. Pero once na bumaba ka, there's no guaranteed that you'll be accepted again unless you'll gain some merit.

So ipapatapon nya ako? That's my punishment?

Nanlulumong sumiksik ako sa tabi ng bintana ng karwahe.

"Benedict will accompany you until you arrive safely at the lower city."

Hindi rin ako nakampante kahit na sasamahan ako ni Benedict--her old butler, papunta sa lower city. I'll bet that he'll just left me there after we land.

Nakasimangot na inalis ko ang ilang sanga at dahon na kumapit sa suot kong puting long sleeves. Nakita ko rin ang isang kulay brown na bag malapit sa pwesto ko. Was that supposed to be my things? Bakit parang ang kunti yata?

Habang hinahalukay ko ang laman ng bag ay narinig ko ang tunog na gawa sa ingay ng pag apak sa mga tuyong dahon at sanga. Kaya naman ay napatigil ako sa ginagawa. Someone is coming..maybe I could ask for some directions?

I heard the person humm an unfamiliar melody. Was it just me..or parang kusang nagsihawian ang mga halaman sa paligid? I even saw a small flower pulled its own roots and walk away, pagkatapos ay bumalik ulit sa lupa. This time it rooted itself near a huge oak tree.

"I'm looking for a certain person. The headmaster told me to fetch a new student here, can you point me his direction?"

Pakiramdam ko ay para akong dinuduyan sa lambing ng boses nito. He's asking the plants? Could this person be a plant controller? He could be.

Nahawi ang matataas na damo sa harapan ko at bumungad sa akin ang isang matangkad na lalaki. He's wearing a long brown cloak. Under the cloak he's wearing a black trouser, a black vest and tie that is wrapped around the neckline of his while sleeves. He looks dashing by the way. He has this kind appearance, kahit na hindi sya nakangiti ay alam mo kaagad na mabait sya. His silver white hair looks like it's glowing under the light of the setting sun.

"Found..you"

Tinitigan nya ako ng ilang mga segundo saka sya ngumiti ng matamis at nagpakilala.

"Hello, I'm Nevéir. You must be Evan Asmael?"

My name rolled on his tongue so perfectly. Bahagya akong napahawak sa sikmura ko dahil sa kakaibang naramdaman ko dito. Did I just felt like there are butterflies in my stomach? Mabilis kong ring ipinagsantabi ang naisip. That's just myth.

"The headmaster told me about your situation. We will be traveling back to the Academy tomorrow. So for now, let's stay at an inn here in this town."

I know I shouldn't be trusting anyone around here. Kahit na pinakitaan nya na ako ng mga evidences na he's really here for me. Maybe tita already told the school about me. But still..I don't like the feeling this Nevéir guy is giving me. I don't know how to explain this... he's like making me dependent on him kahit na wala naman syang ibang ginagawa. Maybe it's his aura, napansin ko nga rin kanina. It's not the sun that's making him or his hair glow..he is totally glowing in my view!

Kunot lang ang noo ko habang tinitingnan sya sa na nakikipag usap sa babae sa front desk sa isang inn na tutuluyan namin. He has broad shoulders, an attractive backside that looks so huggable? I wonder what he looks like when he's naked.

Napatampal ako sa sariling mukha dahil sa naisip. Why do I always think of some unnecessary things?

"They'll just deliver our dinner in our room later."

Nakangiting sabi ni Nevéir sa akin pagkagaling nya sa front desk. Nanatili namang nakakunot lang ang noo ko. Someone led us to our room. A simple room with a double decker bed. I excused myself for a bath. Buti nalang ay may dalawang pares na inilagay si Benedict sa bag ko. If not, I will be wearing the very same clothing. Pagkalabas ko nang banyo ay dumating na rin ang pagkain namin. It's a very simple local specialty, nothing special but taste good. Nagkwentuhan rin kami ni Nevéir, he told me about some things in the Academy. After that ay natulog na kami. I guess?

I woke up in the middle of the night and was shock to find myself staring face to face with Navéir who's wearing a serious look on his face. Malayong malayo sa itsura nya kanina. This..this version of him is kind of scary?
