KNOCK, KNOCK (BL)

Chapter 3

The guy only spared me a single glance before joining Nevéir in the fight. I crawled to a nearny tree and watched as the fight went on. Hindi ko alam kung gaano katagal ang naging laban hanganga sa natumba ang pinakahuling monster na narito ngayon.

My eyes almost bulge out from its sockets when I saw Nevéir's plant devoured the dead bodies, even the bloods on the hround was never spared. Mukhang nakita ni Nevéir ang naging reaksyon ko dahil sinagot nito ang katanungan sa isip ko.

"My plant also need some nourishment you know."

"Gross"

Nang makabawi nang lakas ay kaagad akong lumapit sa pwesto ni Nevéir at tiningnan ang dumudugo nyang tagiliran. I can't fight with my ability but atleast I have a way of healing others. I ask Nevéir to sit down while gazing at his blood stained garments.

"Let me see your wounds."

I thought Nevéir was never going to let me. Because most male think that letting others see your wounds is a sign of weakness. Which I think is just plain stupidity,  weakness what?

Nevéir took off his cloak and upper clothes. Surprisingly the wound is pretty deep that bloods keep on pouring out every time he moves. I never heard him complain though.

"You're a healer?"

The new guy ask with his arms crossed around his chest. He's wearing the same clothes as Nevéir minus the cloak, just a white long sleeves, a black vest, tie and trousers. Tumagal ng ilang saglit ang tingin ko sa kamay nya. There's no sign of blackness and long nails, just a normal hand.

"Yeah, that's why I'm pretty useless when it comes to dealing with monsters..like that."

"I can see that."

I smiled bitterly and work on healing Nevéir. The green light illuminated my hands and his wound. Bit-by-bit I saw how the big wound closed itself as if it's never been there in the first place.

"Your healing magic is strong." Nakangiting sabi ni Nevéir habang inaayos ang kasuotan.

"But--you should have open the portal when I told you."

*plick*

Napahawak ako sa sariling noo nang maramdaman ko ang pagpitik nya rito. It kinda hurts.

"What if Kite didn't arrive?"

So this guy is called Kite? Well if I am to describe him, he has auburn hair (reddish brown), golden eyes and a fair white skin. Other than that, he looks cold and unapproachable. Kung ipagtatabi mo silang dalawa ay makikita mo kaagad ang pagkakaiba nila. I mean, both of them looks good. They just have a vibe that is opposite to each other. Pakiramdam ko ay bigla tuloy akong nanliit. I don't think I would ever look as good as the two of them.

"Sorry, it's my first time witnessing such a scene."

"You must be a pampered young master then." Kite said not hiding the sound of dislike in his voice.

"Are you two..friends?"

"friends?" Halos magkasabayan na tanong nila. Kite's expression turned sour but Nevéir let out a chuckle before replying.

"Ofcourse were not friends." Nevéir said while smiling.

"Akala ko lang. I mean, I thought Kite came here to aid you? Since both of you came from the Academy and are wearing the same uniform?"

My question was answered by silence. Nagpalipat lipat ang tingin ko sa kanilang dalawa, waiting for any of them to speak.

"I came here because---"

"Kite was sent here for reinforcement. The headmaster must've notice na isa lang ang nadala kong jade portal, and sent him here to help since you're with me."

Nevéir cutted him off while pretending to fix his cloak that he already fix awhile ago. Hindi na rin nagsalita si Kite matapos nya, so maybe it's really true.

"Let's look for your jade portal. Did you lost it?"

Tumango lang ako kay Nevéir saka sya tinulungang hanapin iyon. Kite remained standing while watching us look for the jade. Nang mahanap na namin yun ay pinagsama ni Nevéir ang dalawa pang jade portal na hawak ni Kite saka binuksan. A door appeared out of nowhere and Nevéir is the first to open it.

"Let's go in."

NANG makarating kami sa Academy ay mayroon nang nakaabang sa pagbalik namin, a girl called Maeda and the Headmaster. The headmaster simply just explain to me a few things, talking about how Benedict enrolled me in the Academy and so on. Matapos nun ay dinala kami ni Maeda sa clinic para matingnan ang lagay. Kite only have some bruises on his hands, which I failed to notice a while ago. If I had, I would've offered to heal him. All three of us was given a small potion to restore our depleted energy.

" I wished I could show you around, or accompany you to your dorm room but I have things that I need to take care of. I'll leave you in Kite's guidance for today, see you later."

Tinanguan ko lang si Nevéir matapos kong magpasalamat sa kanya. Ofcourse I never fotgot to thank Kite too. Naiwan kaming dalawa sa labas ng clinic. Hindi nagsasalita si Kite kaya hindi ko rin alam kung paano ko sya i-a-approach.

"I'll stop by in the cafeteria, follow me if you want to eat too. If you don't want to, then get lost."

Nauna na ito sa paglakad. Feeling hungry too, I followed after him kahit na parang napipilitan lang itong yayain ako. The headmaster said the school started a week ago, so late na nga ako. It's still 3 pm kaya naman ay wala pang gaanong mga estudyante na palakad lakad sa gilid. Maybe they're still on their classes. Sa cafeteria ay may mangilan ngilang estudyanteng kumakain. Sinundan ko lang kung saan pumunta si Kite. When he ordered some food, I ordered mine too. Kahit nung humanap sya ng pwesto ay nakasunod pa rin ako sa kanya. Hindi siguro sya sanay na may nakabuntot sa kanya dahil panay ang kunog ng noo nito, pero wala ko naman sya narinig na nagreklamo.

"You like eating vegetables?"

Narinig kong tanong ni Kite habang nakatitig sa mga pagkaing nasa tray namin. He bought a 3 chicken sandwiches that were far bigger than the normal serving. While I got myself a vegetable salad and water.

Umiling ako "No..I mean yes, I do like eating vegetables too. But I also love eating...meat. This time, I just don't feel like to."

"You could have answered yes or no. You talk too much."

He said with a grunt before wolfing down his food. Nang matapos kumain ay tumayo na kaagad ito.

"The men's dormitory is 2 blocks away from here. Just ask around I'm going ahead."

Mabilisan kong sinubo ang salad at mahigpit na hinawakan ang dulo ng longsleves nya. He looked at my hand touching his clothes kaya naman ay mabilis ko itong binitawan.

"Can I ask you to take me there instead? I mean if you're busy I could just ask around like you say. Pero..I don't know anyone here."

He stared at my face for a few seconds. Pinag iisipan kung sasamahan ba ako o hindi. But then he shove his hands inside his pocket and ushered me to finish my food.

"Make it fast, I'm a busy person."

Mabilis akong tumango saka sya nginitian ng malawak. I suddenly feel like he's not a cold person after all.
