THE OUTBREAK

Chapter eleven

June-

I saw the boys screaming at each other and Daniels face was bright red and he stormed over to me with aggravation in his voice and nearly screamed "why didn't you tell me you and Josh are dating, god I can't believe you"
"What's so bad about dating Josh"

"You're blind can't you see that I'm head over heels in love with you, and your dating my best friend what the heck, God you're so blind" then he whispered something under his breath

"What?"

"I said HE DOESNT EVEN DESERVE YOU JUNE"

"I'm sorry" I said my vision blurring with tears and he pulled me into his arms and kissed my forehead I felt so comfortable with him I felt his warm hands on my boney shoulders, his lips on my forehead, and as the rush went through me I turned and pulled his face toward mine I felt a chill run through me as my lips made contact with his and we sat there like that for a while until Josh came over ... Josh looked like he wanted to kill someone he pushed me back away from Daniel and said

"You , how could you, I thought you and I were friends you just kissed my girlfriend right in front of me and I told you I was in love with her"

"I kissed him" I admitted

"Shut up, and don't lie for him" he replied

"She kissed me dude, but I kissed her back" and with that Josh punched him straight in the nose with no warning and blood spurted everywhere I saw how much of a monster Josh was and I said it flat out tears in my eyes and Daniels blood on my face

"Josh we are done" and I ran over to Janelle and I pulled a blood sample from her and Bri gagged, ugh I can't stand her, and I put it in the other container. I walked back over to Daniel with a first aid kit I had brought from my truck just in case and I put a band aid on his nose, it filled with blood immediately so I put a thicker band aid on and started wrapping the cut on his arm from the glass he landed on and asked " how do you feel hun?"

He responded with a low groan and said "fine I guess" and we talked for a while as he sat there until about maybe thirty minutes later, when Bri interrupted us by shouting

"Oh my god, they're coming" so I turned around and she was right they're coming not a small group but an army worth and all I could say was

"Run" and we took off Daniel and Josh holding Janelle as they ran glancing over at each other every couple seconds and I ran into a familiar alleyway on 4th and East streets then I started to climb up the building and reached the roof then I saw Bri step over the top with heels in one hand then I saw Josh pull Janelle up and lastly Daniel, I don't know what it is about that boy but when I kissed him I felt nothing but fireworks.

We decided we were going to stay up on the roof until further notice the only blanket we had was the one from the first aid kit which we put on Janelle who still had blood filling her mouth and her skin starting to peel and bleed I really need to know what's causing this so I set up my "lab" under a light and started to compare my blood to Janelles blood sample and I noticed something purple floating around and her blood changing colors right in front of me, it was amazing, so I added water to her blood and to mine then I added bleach to both, no change, then I added chlorine, no change I added wood polish, nail polish remover, I tried every little thing I found in the supply closet on the roof nothing worked. Then I found a unlabeled container behind the rack of paper towels and added it to both my blood and Janelles, my blood started to look more like Janelles while hers got even darker purple. I had know idea how to fix it but I know what's causing it.

I woke up with a weight on my chest it was Janelle pushing on my chest saying "h-help m-me" over and over again then she said "p-p-please" and she ran and stumbled like a zombie would but she didn't just fall she landed right next to Bri and before I could say anything, Janelle had already eaten half of her arm off as Bri was screaming and kicking, she kicked Janelle off of the building and we all heard the smack of Janelles body against the pavement.
