THE OUTBREAK

Chapter fourteen

Daniel-

I couldn't believe my eyes.

Janelles body was gone. But the weirdest part about it was that there was a trail of blood that was going northern and down the road, Towards the old library. I broke the silence by saying "what, where is she?"

"If I knew do you think I would still be sitting here?" June snapped back.

"Well, there is a trail of blood leading towards the old library, do you think we should follow it?" I said ignoring her attitude

"Yeah" I didn't even dare to ask if she wanted to ask if Joshua and Bri wanted to come, so we started climbing down the latter to the alleyway below and I looked up at her as she stopped midway on the latter and asked
" you alright?" And she said

"Yeah it's just that the sunset is so beautiful" and she descended the rest of the way down, but before she got to the second to last step I picked her up, kissed her, carried her down to the end of the street, she smiled and we started to walk to the old library we passed her uncles door store and about one minute later green and purple lights started flashing from the old library and we decided we should stay the night in her uncles door store.

THE NEXT DAY -

I woke up with June in my arms, but it looked like she had dried tears on her face and her eyes were puffy. I stood up carefully trying not to wake her up and I looked around for a bit not knowing what to do, then I realized that I needed to pee very bad, so I walked to the bathroom and opened the door revealing June's uncles body slaughtered and torn to pieces. I slammed the door closed and remembered that June was still sleeping. And I heard her voice, she said "you okay" and I replied with

"Yeah I'm fine baby, you alright?"

"Yeah I'm fine what are you doing?"

"I was looking for some" and I paused I had no excuse so I said " some supplies" and she gave me a unsure smile. About three hours later I said "hey, let's get going"and I put my arm around her and we left the store. We walked to the old library and June opened the library door and we saw mountains and mountains of dead bodies but in the closest pile to us Janelle was at the bottom edge. And then out of nowhere an old, rotting, zombie, librarian thing, it snatched June right from where she was standing I reached to grab her arm and pulled her from the rotting carcasses grasp.
I push her on the way started kicking punching scratching and hitting the zombie. I told June to get upstairs and find a way to get Janelle out of the bottom because of the lack of supplies downstairs without attracting the other zombies out on the road and in nearby stores then I heard whispering, it was June,

"Daniel, I got a rope"she paused "can I come down now?"

"Okay let me get rid of this thing" I grabbed the zombie carcass by the teared fabric and threw it into the supply closet, which was full of mops and cleaners. I called up to June and said "okay, it's safe you can head on down" she stumbled down the stairs with unsteady steps from the heavy rope tangled in her arms I wondered why there was a rope in the library, but I knew I would never get the answer, because I'm pretty sure that over 75% of the population is either zombies or dead. June interrupted my thoughts by asking

"Can you help me tie this around her?" I turned around and slipped the rope under her back and tied it around her stomach and we tugged the rope slightly hoping the other bodies on top would not fall off, after the second tug we gave Janelles eyes opened and she started breathing again, it was crazy she was still not responding to anything only answering us with shaking and nodding movements of her head. Which in fact was an improvement, I am surprised she is still alive after what happened.
After an hour of our questions we gave Janelle a break, June was ecstatic, so was I. About ten minutes later June shot up and stuttered

"The- the - the zombies are coming through the -the doors, what are we going to do?"

"Grab the rope, I have an idea" she tossed the rope to me and I quietly opened the door and let the small group consisting of six zombies inside and slammed the door they ran toward us and I threw the other end of the rope and we ran in the opposite direction and we wrap the rope around them and tied it as tight as possible.

We grabbed Janelle and ran back to the door store until the next day...

Okay so yeah... This chapter sucked sorry I had no ideas for this chapter so I just kept writing and stuff so yeah sorry love you all ❤️💚💛💙💜❤️💛💚💙❤️💛💜💜💚💙👑👑🎀
