The tale of Celeste Morozova
[Grisha were viewed as demonic witches by the people who populated Ravka and the colonies that surrounded]
Centuries ago, before the fold and before the sun summoner, two grisha lived in fear of being hunted.
Unlike the usual Etherealki, the shadow summoner can manipulate the darkness, a power unique to only him and his mother.
He was singled out and alone for many years until a young women by the name of Celeste had displayed individual qualities that differentiated her from others in the Etherealki Order but also showed she was a different kind of summoner, a moon summoner.
Life requires balance, pain needs pleasure, sorrow needs joy, hate needs love and darkness needs light.
Throughout the years spent together a budding romance formed between the two grisha, a marriage cemented the love story.
One that would forever haunt Ravka.
With the united force of Aleksander Morozova and Celeste Morozova, the dream of an all Grisha army to rule has poisoned the minds of the couple.
If you want something so much, you dedicate every inch of your soul, every fibre of your being and every thought in your mind to getting what you want.
But if you crave more than you should, eventually you will drown in the idea of power.
And that's what happened.
The creation of the fold was not intentional, however it was a display of power that made all of Ravka fear the summoners.
The shadow summoner became the black heretic and the moon summoner, she was never seen again.
Celeste Morozova was the ruler of the night sky, every star is said to be a sin she committed. The moon? her final resting place.
Without the light, the darkness overwhelmed Ravka, with no way to banish the fold Aleksander would have to wait, fake many deaths and take on many names biding his time until another summoner arises.
