In shadows' veil, my heart doth dwell,
A melancholy, a bitter swell,
Bound in chains, we once knew love,
Now suffocating, like a wounded dove.
Within these walls of shattered dreams,
I see the fracture of our love it seems,
For what once bloomed, now withers away,
Leaving sorrow's scent, in disarray.
Your touch once sent electric fires,
Now cold as ice, no more desires,
Words that once soothed, now cut like knives,
Leaving scars upon my fragile life.
The laughter that enveloped our days,
Echoes of joy now fade away,
Replaced by silence, thick and dense,
A void that grows with each lost sense.
We drift apart like ships at sea,
No compass guiding both you and me,
Lost in a sea of endless doubt,
Our love's flame flickers, then fizzles out.
The promises we made have turned to dust,
A haunting reminder of love's unjust,
Emotional wreckage in our wake,
Our hearts entangled, yet souls at stake.
The longing for a love that's true,
Is met with tears, for it's lost in you,
Fading hope, now drenched in tears,
As unhappiness gnaws, fueling fears.
But in this misery I find strength,
To break free from this captive length,
To seek solace in the arms of fate,
And rebuild my heart, not a moment too late.
For I deserve a love that brings me peace,
A connection that forever shall not cease,
No longer trapped within this tragic play,
I break free, for happiness shall be my ray.
