Yamato and I now stood across from each other on the platform, Sensei standing in between us. Yamato and now stood there staring at each other, fully geared. Sensei took a glance at the both of us "Ready you two?" "Hai." I replied keeping my eyes on Yamato. "Born ready." Yamato said staring back at me. "Begin!" Sensei yelled and left the platform as quickly as possible. Both me and Yamato drew our wooden swords and started to walk in circles making sure we're stood in front of each other. I studied his stance, as he studied mine. I kept looking without letting my guard down until I found an opening. I attacked first, swinging one of my swords at Yamato's side. Yamato also didn't let his guard down and dodged the attack but ducking. Taking that opportunity I swung my other sword aiming for his shoulder. Yamato quickly realizing rolled away dodging it and standing up. "Not bad." Yamato said starting to breath heavily. "Not bad yourself" I replied smiling, having fun. Yamato came at me swinging both his swords aiming for my shoulders. Knowing I didn't have enough time to dodge, I blocked with both my swords and kicked him in the stomach knocking him back. Yamato started heavily breathing more, but kept his calm. I ran to him swinging my sword aiming for his stomach. Yamato jumped back and came back quickly swinging his leg in the ground tripping me. I fall on my back and block his incoming sword attack. As soon as his wooden swords hit mine we heard a scream from outside. Sensei wondered about the scream as did we and stopped the duel for the time being. "I'll go check it out" Sensei said as he and his assistant headed out. Yamato helping me up from the ground said "I wonder what that scream was about." " I wonder too, let's take this off and go check it out." We walked towards the locker rooms and changed as quickly as possible. Yamato waited for me outside the girls locker room because I took longer. "Thanks for waiting" I said as I began to come out. "No prob--" as Yamato was in the middle of his sentence we heard Sensei and his assistant scream. Yamato grabbed my hand, we were both now very worried. "Don't leave my side." Yamato said quietly. "Got it." I said blushing. Oh how I knew it wasn't the time for this feeling, but I couldn't help it seeing this side of Yamato made my heart beat faster. "What should we--" "Shh!" Yamato quickly shushed me and dragged me to the back room. As we hid behind a desk the power went out. I began to tremble. Yamato squeezed my hand tightly "We're getting out of here." Me being very scared now, put my hearty feelings to the side. "But how?" I whispered. "I KNOW YOU TWO ARE HERE, HAHA. WHAT'S THE POINT IN HIDING KIDS?" An unknown voice yelled. Yamato secured me behind him. I began to tremble more. " What was that?" "Shh be quiet Yui, we're leaving through the back door." Yamato whispered. "Stupid children, I can smell your fear!" The demon yelled as he broke the window to the back room where we hid. I started to panick, I could now hear both my heart beat and Yamato's. "Yui, get ready to run." Before I could answer Yamato gripped my hand as tightly as he could and ran out the back door leading outside dragging me along with him. We ran as fast as we could, and then I heard the door open from the dojo. Yamato kept running dragging me along as I looked back to see who it was. I started to shiver from disbelief in what my eyes had seen. What I saw coming out that door wasn't human. It had red eyes with a shiny black iris. It looked like a human, but with claws and fangs. The only thought that came to my mind was 'Demon'. Yamato turned at a corner leading to an alley. As I was dragged along the corner, the demon eyes met mine. I shivered in fear and it smiled like it had found its prey. It started running towards us, then I couldn't see it anymore due to the buildings wall. Yamato tightly gripped my hand and pulled me faster. "I'll protect you, I swear" Yamato said even though he was scared himself. "THERE'S NO POINT IN RUNNING ITS NOT LIKE YOU CAN ESCAPE!" The demon said laughing from on top the building, the demon now had wings. I was in disbelief When it happened.... Yamato had made a wrong turn... We were now cornered in an alley. Yamato stood in front of me as the unknown creature began to corner us "I'm sorry, Yui" I hugged Yamato from behind "Don't be sorry! I'm still alive because of you" I said starting to tear up. "Yui" Yamato said my name starting to tear up too "I'm sorry I couldn't protect you" I tightly squeezed him in my arms "I'm glad I'm here with you in our last moments!" I said now crying a lot. "Mmm" Yamato said crying now and gripped my hands that were secured around his stomach. "Ohh poor humans, cut the emotional scene would you." Yamato yelled "SCUM!" And angered the creature. "Damn, you kiss your mother with that mouth? Oh wait your mother's dead." Yamato now infuriated wanted to run at the demon. I held him back "Yamato please stay with me! Calm down!" Yamato turned around and hugged me blocking my vision of the demon and having his back towards the demon. I still found a way to look at the demon when everything went silent. I could feel Yamato's tears on my shoulders, I could feel my tears on my face, I could see the demon running at us with bloodlust on his face. Yet, I could hear nothing. My vision started to blur as a very bright light started to shine behind the demon. It was very light and gassy, smelled of gasoline and something else I couldn't identify. I felt my body growing weaker and I felt Yamato fall to the ground unconscious. All I could think was 'Is this the end?' As I fell to the ground losing my consciousness. The last thing I saw was the demon fall to the ground and a woman stab it in the head, the last thing I heard was "Stay down, Akuma" as everything went blank.
