Today was the first day of midterms, and Taylor was stressed. Not for herself, but for P.J..

P.J. felt great, he had a great breakfast and had gotten a full nights sleep. Taylor was a big advocate for not playing video games before bed, and P.J. had to admit that she was on to something.

"Ten minutes left." The voice of Mr. Peterson called out, informing Taylor that she had only ten minutes to finish her history midterm.

She frantically looked over the scantron, having finished the test minutes ago, but still wanting to check her answers. When it was time to turn in her test, she walked to the lunchroom to meet Diana.

"Diana, please tell me you studied a little last night?" Taylor scolded her friend, noticing that she had many open books in front of her.

"Can't talk, cramming for a test." Was her response.

"Ah the classic lunchtime cram." P.J. put his arm around Taylor's shoulders, "Have you met Emmett?"

Emmett waved, not looking up from his sandwich.

"He's had a tough day. How was your tests so far?"

"Good, what about yours? Did you eat a good breakfast?" Taylor questioned.

"Yes, and I even turned off the video games at 8:15." P.J. told her, digging into his bag to find his lunch.

"Finally finished." Diana closed her textbooks.

"Welcome back, D" Taylor laughed.

Diana stuck her tongue out at her friend, stealing a chip from her tray.

"Diana, you don't know Emmett." Taylor introduced her friend.

Emmett looked up from his tray, feeling his heart skip a beat.

"Hey." Emmett smiled.

"Hey."

Taylor and P.J. shared a look, knowing that the double dates they'd be going on would be so much fun.
