Request: the reader is terrified of spiders and while Hermione is spending the night in the reader's dorms (during the Hogwarts years, the house doesn't matter, I imagined Hufflepuff or Slytherin) Hermione kills a really big spider for the reader and they fawn over her and call Hermione their hero.
A/N: Kinda short and a fade-to-black scene, forgive me. It's been a long week lol.

Third Person P.O.V:
7th Year
Hermione yawned as she sat at a desk and read the required chapter for one of her many classes, her eyes jumping to each word like a game of leapfrog.
She was happily spending the night in the Hufflepuff dormitories as her girlfriend fiddled with a spell she was trying to perfect on her bed.
It was Christmas break, and the two decided to spend the holidays together at the school. Thankfully, all of Y/n's roommates had left, so it was just them most of the time.
Which was heaven on earth for the couple.
Hermione only goes to her room to grab some clothes or reading material, other than that, she happily sleeps next to her girlfriend every night.
This leads to now, where the two were trying to finish up the homework that was assigned to them over break.
It was quiet mostly, only the sound that Hermione heard was of Y/n mumbling the incantation and then cursing under her breath when it wouldn't work. It made her smile each time.
"My love, would you like some help?" Hermione asks without looking up at her struggling girlfriend.
"Every time you try and help me, we always end up making out" Y/n chuckles as the Gryffindor turns to her and holds back a shit-eating grin.
"Hey, you said you loved my 'kiss as reward' idea." Hermione defends as she crossed on her legs over the other and watched as Y/n tried the spell again, yet she was unsuccessful.
"I truly do love your reward system, but we can't keep our hands off each other in the end" the Hufflepuff replies as she looked over at Hermione.
Before her girlfriend could respond, Y/n suddenly widened her eyes at something past Hermione's shoulder. She goes to back away out of fright but ends up tumbling out of bed instead.
Did someone walk in?
Hermione quickly stood up and searched behind her, but she found no one.
"What is it?" Hermione asked, slightly panicked at what it could be that made her girlfriend act like that.
When the Gryffindor turned back around to Y/n, she found her pressing her back to the farthest corner of the room.
"You're telling me you don't see that?!" Y/n whispers in fright and annoyance, which made Hermione swivel back around and look again.
Then she saw it.
A baby Acromantula slowly crept into the corner by the door and basically staring at the duo.
"Oh shit" Hermione mumbled as she backed up slightly and summoned her wand.
Now, Hermione didn't have a fear of spiders, but she did have a fear of anything bigger than its attended size. Like that thing in front of her.
Even as a baby, fresh out of the egg, it was as big as three Chihuahuas side by side.
Somehow it had gotten into the castle, and somehow it had found its way into the one room where there was a girl with a severe case of arachnophobia.
