"Auntie, I'll be going to the park now" I announce once I finished tying a ribbon in my hair leaving strands loose framing my face. Now leaving the house I begin walking towards my destination.
After I followed the path to the park I finally arrive after 30 minutes of walking and see the sign telling me I've made it "Parco Archeologico Enrico Fiumi" I found a nice quite spot in the shade and saw the watchtower from afar.
Taking my book out I flip to the chapter I was on before as I listen to children laughing and the ducks quacking. As she reads her book she hums a song that her mother used to sing to her when she was young. But she didn't notice was a certain blonde man sitting in the tree above her listening to her song.
"I take it your quite the singer then?" He announced himself making the young women to jump in surprise as she was so wrapped up in her book.
"Oh God!" She exclaimed putting her hand on her chest to control her breathing she looks up to see the blonde Italian man in detail as his white shirt is slightly unbuttoned and his hair tussled making him look even more attractive then he did at the party where she last saw him.
Noticing how Adelaide was staring at him Caius raised a brow in amusement has she realizes she's staring and quickly looks away before replying back to him.
"The song was a lullaby my mother used to sing to me when I was younger back in Texas, she and I used to sing together she even taught me how to play the guitar" I told him as I close my book and turn my body to give him my full attention.
As he looks down on me I notice how his eyes shift from amusement into a look I've only ever seen from one other man who was taken from me. "Well then I believe the next time we meet that I shall bring a guitar so you shall sing on beautiful days such as this one" he motions his hand to the sky has he looks above and I do the same. Looking around seeing the sky so blue and water sparkling as the flowers are vibrant with color.
"That is very confident of you to assume that there will be a next time Mr.Volturi" I say sarcastically smirking as he turns to face me again giving me a smirk in return before chuckling.
"Ms.Swan I intend to call upon you after today, I fact I was planing on seeing you later this afternoon at your aunts estate but it seems fate had wanted us to meet again earlier then expected" he said making me shocked that he had confessed that he wanted to see more of me.
"I don't believe I see an issue with that Mr.Volturi you've seemed to somehow catch my attention but I'm not so easily attained merely on flirts and intense glances across ballrooms, sir" I tell him smirking as I get up and begin to pack my belongings after being interrupted by Caius.
Just as I was about to reach for my book it is gone in a blink as I feel a rush of wind behind me. As I look back at the tree no longer seeing Caius I turn around to see him holding my book beside me in the shade of the tree.
"The Vampyre? this is fairly new book genre but it depicts vampires completely wrong" he says in slight disgust as he skims through the favorite book.
"And how would you know, vampires aren't real, right?" Thinking back on how fast he was getting down the tree and grabbing my book faster that I can blink. But looking at Caius I can see the wheels turning in his mind.
"Depends, do you believe in the mystery of the world or do you believe that you should find the truth for yourself?" He tells me as he looks into my eyes as I stare back at him with the same intensity
"I think I would want to find out the truth for myself, if vampires are real I would want to join them. A life of immortality, abilities that no human can imagine, plus the ability to see the future ahead of us 100 years from now is amazing!" I tell him stepping closer towards him pressing myself against his chest.
"Thank you for you insightful day but I believe it's time for me to go back to my aunts estate" I say grabbing my book from Caius's hands and grabbing the rest of my things before walking back towards my aunts house before hearing footsteps coming behind me.
"Adelaide I-I wish to perhaps call upon you on the morrow if you'll have me?" He asks softly as he now walks besides me. Giving him a glance I stop walking in thought has he stops a well waiting for an answer.
"I believe that is alright Mr.Volturi-" "please call me Caius" he interrupts me cause if me to smile softly. "Then you shall call me Adelaide" I tell him as I start walking again as he stays as he stands watching me walk back to my aunts house.
But on the walk back all I can think about was the conversation I had with Caius about vampires and think.
"Vampires aren't real, right?"
