T/w death :)

"Mum, what's going on?" It was a few weeks since the letter incident and Scar hadn't got a chance to question her about it.

"What, dear- SCAR GET BACK FROM THE WINDOW NOW-" Just as she was saying that, an arrow flew through the window and landed an inch from his nose. He heard a shout, then, doing as his mum had asked, backed away from the window. As he turned round to ask his mum again, he heard a cry. It went through his body and made the hairs on the back of his neck stand up. It was a cry of pure grief. He heard a crack of lightning, then silence. Sobs of pain, and then the clamour of the battle resumed. Scar risked a peek through the now- empty window frame. He could see one clear difference between his the battle was then, and how it was now.

Jimmy was gone.

Scar looked at his mum, then quickly looked away again. Her face was ashen grey, with an expression of disbelief. "No, he'll be fine." she was mumbling to herself, over and over. "He had a lifesaver, one of the only four here. He'll be safe."

(Remember that extra lifesaver please someone has it)

Scar couldn't believe what it must be like to loose a nephew. Then again, he had just lost a cousin. But... why? Why were they even fighting? He realised that he knew barely anything about this world.

"So." said Cleo with a resigned sigh. "I.. owe you an explanation."

"Yes, you do!" exclaimed Bdubs.

"Our world is at war." she blurted out."

"Our world? As in, there are other worlds?" Scar hardly thought that was the most surprising thing about what she had said, but B would be B."

"Yes. That's why we can have lifesavers, you see.."

"Hang on." Scar wanted to get this back on track. "What's this about a war?"

"Well.. a war. There are five main sides, but three of them, including us, are allies. The other two.. friends with no- one."

(Yahoo! I managed to type this in fifteen minutes on my phone when my mum wasn't looking!)
