I have been sleeping for how long?

Ronan, not Kim Rok Soo, awoke in a rather shady location with nothing but darkness. He lost track of time from the last time he woke up in this place. What makes it different is that he has memories of his past life. His miserable past life. Losing his family, being mistreated by others, and then losing his new family.

He is been here for a week now. It has been a week since his teammates were killed. He would be depressed for a long time.

He could not take it anymore, but he could not die, so he closed his eyes and decided he had to move on and keep living.

When he awoke, he came to this location. A solitary palace beneath the waves. An abandoned ruin where he lives alone. He transformed into a merman and became the owner of this desolate location.

He was unwilling to move.

He will stay here and sleep until the end of time.

He planned to stay here quietly, away from the rest of the world.

The roiling water.

The sounds of marine life echo.

[Someone... save me...]

He flinches.

He lifted his arms over his head.

That voice echoed clearly and loudly among the song played by the ocean in an orchestra.

The salty seawater and the fishy odor pervade. He hears a piercing cry, melancholy, pleading, and desperately calling.

[I don't want to be alone.]

The loneliness enveloped him as the sound became increasingly clear as he awoke.

He reaches out his hand to touch the small light. He rose from his position and swam. The voice continued to call out. His heart felt like it's being ripped apart.

He gazes up. Swam across the ocean and seas. The great whales made their way and the mermaids of the shallow ran away.

He hears...

The king! The king! The ruler of the Ocean!

He ignored them and swam past them. He was not sure what moved him, but he swam to where he could hear the sad cries. The fish and sea creatures danced and swam with him until he reached the whirling seas. He swam through the perilous whirlpools.

The cries became even louder and clearer. He can taste the bitter taste of tears through the water. His heart felt like it was being torn apart.

A beautiful red-haired boy stood there with a hurtful and painful expression. His reddish-brown eyes are fixed on the water as if he is planning his own demise.

Why do you look so sad?

His gaze had wandered, and his thoughts were scattered.

He wanted to say something, but nothing came out of his mouth.

Finally, in the moment...

[You're going to jump?]

His inner voice echoed inside his head.

The redhead turned to look at him. His gaze had some life remaining. His lips were trembling. His hands curled into a fist.

He swam closer, looking at him with all intently, hoping he would change his mind.
