Ronan was quite bummed about White Star's people. They did nothing to make the light dinner more enjoyable. Ronan dislikes putting on a shitshow for no reason, unless it is absolutely necessary. He did not see any cool reason for that, so he remained silent. Throughout the banquet, Crown Prince Adin was quite silent. Not only that, but the mermaids are currently on their best behaviour.

For fucking 8 days already.

Should I make a ruckus?

He shook his head.

I shouldn't tarnish my ancient and regal reputation.

He still have some face to save.

But...

Do they think they can fool me?

Standing behind Adin was the man who came back to his sea palace to get another beating.

Ronan smiled wickedly. It has been a long time since he has been entertained this much.

I will welcome that man into my palace.

The next day...

See my greatness, Goldie Boy! Ronan smiled brightly at Eruhaben, who simply frowned at him. As always, that boy is difficult to please. It's so much making this old goldie boy frown in annoyance! But Eruhaben is so vigilant that he can put up with his crap.

"Aigoo, where has my cute little golden hatchling gone?" he said dramatically, acting like a saddened grandfather.

"Gross," Eruhaben snickered, refilling their teacup again.

Ronan smiled mischievously, flicking his tail over Eruhaben's ears to irritate him, but the dragon is so strict with himself, even when he is teasing him with all his might.

"How did your dinner go, Cale?" Eruhaben asked, pushing the annoying tail away.

"It is beautiful. I do not think that was a light dinner," Cale politely responded. The setup last night was filled with gold and silver. The gold dust made everything shine, and the silver made it even more appealing. Not to mention that every race was summoned here, so the Human Monarks could not say anything about the Dark Elves' appearance.

"I'm surprised Dark Elves also came here," Cale said.

"They may be different due to the nature of their mana, but they are still of the Elf King's bloodline."

"They are?"

"Yes, like me, the progenitors of the distinct races can use both light and dark mana; only that humans tend to complicate everything and make it to their standard of human foolishness." Ronan huffed, "They're like overly conscious girls about their faces. I'm not saying every girl but that analogy."

Eruhaben shook his head.

Rona said, "Every creature in the sea is my child; however, due to succession, some bloodlines inherited light attributes, while others had dark attributes. They're not strong enough to carry both manas in their bodies."

"Is it because of blood?"

Ronan read it once in the original's journal. The original progenitors are born into the world. In his case, Ronan was born from the sea. He was born from a powerful deep sea pearl that cleansed the sea of evil. He seemed to undergo tribulations for continuously purifying and protecting the waters. As a result, he emerges as the first creature of the sea, having been created from light, darkness, and life.

It feels similar to the Book of Genesis in Roman Catholicism or any other religious beginnings. It's also identical to the murim settings about heavenly tribulations.
