I sat down at the only available desk in the class, next to Jamie and surrounded by his terrifying posse, not that I would tell them that. Two classes in row I'm sitting next to Jamie but with basically all of the girls pining after him it won't be terribly difficult to get someone to switch places with me, if anything people will be paying me to switch. Finally something good to come out of this situation.

I'll admit at first I was attracted to the new mysterious thing he had going on but after the embarrassment at the library and the creepiness shown in homeroom he is starting to look like someone to run away from not run to but I don't think he is understanding that.

"So Alex, long time no see." Jamie said smirking at me

"Ha ha," I replied sarcastically," if you're thinking of becoming a comedian, don't quit your day job."

I swivelled in my chair only to be met with the glares of some of his friends, I made a startled squeak and just faced the front.

English is my favourite subject along with Science, I know weird mix, but the lesson wasn't as enjoyable as it usually is all because of the mysterious newbie. I swear every 3 minutes he would poke me or tap on my shoulder asking for something and if it wasn't him one of his friends would try to start up conversation with me. All I wanted was to write but they just wouldn't leave me along. I was at my wits end.

I felt something touching my shoulder, again.

"Psst, Alex. Alex do you know that rats and horses can't vomit?"

"No I didn't know that Jamie nor will I ever use that pointless piece of information anywhere in my life. Do you know what I will use? Writing so let me write and leave me alone!"

My spiel started out as a whisper but by the end I will yelling in Jamie's direction. Mr Morison stared at me with wide eyes, I had never been a student to cause a disturbance let alone scream at one of my peers, Jamie just brings out the worst in me. Twice in about half an hour my class had stared at me in silence and the common factor in both of those situations was Jamie.

"Alexandra you will be attending detention after school."

"Yes Mr Morison." I muttered while trying to hide my face behind a curtain of hair.

The bell rang releasing me from the odd looks and fierce whispers of my classmates. I hurriedly packed my belongings and as I went to leave the room someone grabbed my wrist. I turned to see Jamie with a sheepish smile on his face.

"No Jamie, don't say anything. You have done enough." I shot him a glare as I stalked towards my next class.

Not only was Jamie in Homeroom and English but he was also in all of my other classes. After 3rd period I snatched his timetable to compare it to mine and every single class was the same, to say I was livid was an understatement.

"How did this happen?"

He had a ghost of a smirk on his lips

"I have no idea what you are talking about but if I were you Alex I would concentrate in class, you wouldn't want to get in trouble, again."

I found myself glaring at him again. I swear since he arrived I have had a permanent scowl on my face and most of the time it has been directed at Jamie.
