I looked at Jamie questioningly and slowly started to scoot towards my window. He caught on to what I was doing and gripped my arm with inhuman strength and whispered harshly in my ear,

"I need to take your or your brother. It's you or him, your decision." I couldn't let him take Matt, he was still so young and naive about the world

"Please take me," I begged, "please just take me."

I felt his grip increase around my arm I closed my eyes to try to escape the pain but after I uttered those words knew I would never be free.

----------------------------

The car ride from my house was emotional to say the least. My tears were flowing in a continuous stream down my cheeks. Jamie refused to let me say goodbye to my family or provide an excuse to why I was leaving, instead he wrote a note saying I had decided to stay at Leila's house for the week to complete a school project. It was a pretty good excuse but I knew that Matt wouldn't buy it; he'd probably call me constantly until he got the truth but I couldn't burden him with that so I would have to step up my game when it came to deception but even then Matt had an uncanny ability to be able to tell if I was withholding the truth so I was nervous about how he would take my... kidnapping? I don't really know what to call it, I mean I came somewhat willingly but only because Jamie blackmailed me, hopefully I'll remember to google the correct terminology when I am next allowed access to a computer. Jeez what is wrong with me? I am being taken from my family and I am worried about the correct terminology of the situation, I really need to sort out my priorities.

I felt the car jolt as we had arrived at Jamie's place, also known as my prison. I was helped out of the car and escorted to my cell; okay I may be slightly over exaggerating it was just a bedroom.

"You will be staying in here unless told otherwise, the bathroom is through that door," Jamie said while pointing towards a door on the other side of the room, "and your meals will be delivered 3 times a day. Everyone has been told not to interact with you unless it is an emergency, if something happens shout 'Jameson Michaels' it's my full name and people will come to assist you but if you abuse the name then when you really need help no one will come."

"You mean like the boy you cried wolf?"

Jamie just chuckled

"Yeah the girl who cried wolf. This door can only be opened from the outside," he continued while indicating to the door we had entered through, " so don't try anything because it won't get you anywhere."

"So you mean it is basically child locked?" I asked alarmed

"Yeah you could say that. You aren't to leave this room unless it catches fire or you are dying. Any questions?"

"Did you happen to grab any of my belongings before we left?" I said while I looked at my brother's old t-shirt I was wearing along with the sketch pad and pencils I was still holding from the roof.

"No, but some bare necessities will be delivered to your room tomorrow."

"Ok, I'm exhausted can I sleep?" I asked quite defeated, I had always been a strong person but to just have my decisions and freedom taken away from me made me feel weak but I was going to do something to change it.

"Yeah, good night."

"There's nothing good about it." I muttered under my breath and Jamie turned to leave the room but I saw a glimpse of his eyes, he looked regretful; maybe I've just gotten bad at reading people.

As soon as Jamie had closed the door behind him I counted to 100 to make sure he was far enough away and then I attacked the door he had left through. I yanked at the door knob but Jamie was right, it could only be opened from the outside. I then ran into the bathroom and looked for anyway of escape but of course there was none.

I continued to pace the room, 10 steps wide and 15 steps long, over and over, back and forth, continuously. On about my 200th set my eye caught on the window, at once I rushed over and was pleased with what I saw. The window was unlocked but it was a roll out window which meant it could only open so far. The drop was only two stories and underneath were thick bushes which would catch me if I jump. No, not if, when.

Now that I had identified what I was going to do to escape from here I felt the exhaustion catch up to me, I had been running on adrenaline for too long. I was too tired to ma-

I felt something under my back and legs. I realised someone was carrying me and I snuggled into the person thinking it was Matt; whenever I studied too much and fall asleep at my desk Matt would always carry me to bed to ensure I didn't have a sore neck in the morning. I continued to nuzzle into the person's shirt when I caught what they smelled like, it wasn't Matt. Matt always wore strong deodorant but this person stunk a little of sweat. Suddenly I remembered what had happened last night and my meeting with Jamie. My whole body tensed as my eyes shot open and I let out a scream. I started thrashing around and I must of alarmed the stranger as I was dropped. Once my body made contact with the floor I rushed into the bathroom and crawled to the corner of the room trying to make myself as small as possible, I know it wasn't a good hiding spot but I knew I was unable to leave through the main door and I preferred to have a wall between the stranger and myself.

I felt heavy footsteps vibrate through the tiling of the bathroom I was sitting in but I refused to look up. I heard a deep sigh and felt the stranger sit down beside me on the ground.

"I'm sorry I scared you but you had passed out on the ground and looked rather uncomfortable. I had heard you pacing the room for the past few hours from downstairs and when you stopped all of a sudden I was scared that something had happened. I didn't mean to alarm you."

I looked up after the last statement due to the sincerity in Jamie's voice. I realised what had happened, due to the exhaustion after I found my future escape route I had basically passed out, I hadn't even made it to the bed.

Jamie was cradling his head in his arms and I was kind of lost. What do you do when the bad guy shows his humanity and that he cares?

I reached over and placed my hand on his shoulder. As soon as our skin made contact I felt an intense tingling, almost like pins and needles, and Jamie's head shot up. His eyes hardened as if he remembered that he was supposed to hate me; Jamie quickly removed himself from the intimate situation and stood up.

"I'm glad to see you're okay, make sure you make it to bed this time."

I was too confused to say anything, I just nodded my head and followed him into the bedroom. As I hopped into bed I heard a deep sigh and the door closing, almost as if he didn't want to go.

Again I feel into a deep sleep but this time it was plagued by thoughts of my elusive captor.
