IZUKU'S SIDE
The next morning, Izuku found himself sitting at his desk, intently focused on his work. Kairi was out today, she had called in sick earlier this morning, which Izuku had responded with a feel better and gave her the day off. He was suddenly interrupted by a vibration in his pocket. Izuku's phone buzzed, signaling a new message from Katsuki. He eagerly unlocked his phone, a smile spreading across his face as he read the text.
Katsuki: Hey, Deku. How about breakfast at the diner tomorrow? Our moms can join too, just like the old days. What do you think?
Izuku's heart fluttered with excitement at the prospect of spending more time with Katsuki and their mothers. He quickly typed out his reply.
Izuku: That sounds amazing, Kacchan! I'd love to have breakfast at the diner. It'll be like a little reunion. Count me in!
Within seconds, Katsuki's response came through, brimming with his signature playful tone.
Katsuki: Good. I hope you're ready for my mom's terrible jokes.
Izuku chuckled, imagining the banter and laughter that would fill the air during their breakfast gathering.
Izuku: I can't wait for the storytelling and terrible jokes. It's been too long! I'll text my mom and let her know.
As he set his phone aside, Izuku felt a warmth spreading through his chest. The thought of sharing a meal with Katsuki and their mothers, reminiscing about the past and creating new memories, filled him with a sense of joy and gratitude. It was another step forward in rebuilding what they had lost, and he couldn't wait to see where their renewed friendship would lead them.
For now, Izuku had to get back to work, which he loved but lately, the time with Katsuki was turning into his new favorite pass time.

KATSUI'S SIDE
Katsuki sat at his usual spot in the cozy coffee shop, "Roasted for You," engrossed in his work. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the air, creating a comforting ambiance. As he typed away on his laptop, his mind focused on the task at hand, a familiar face caught his attention.
Kairi approached his table with a warm smile, a hint of surprise in her eyes. Katsuki couldn't help but return the friendly gesture, setting aside his work to give her his full attention.
"Hey, Katsuki! Long time no see," Kairi greeted, pulling out a chair and taking a seat across from him.
"Hey, Kairi. Yeah, it's been a while. What brings you here?" Katsuki asked, genuinely curious about her unexpected visit.
Kairi leaned back in her chair, crossing her legs and sipping on her latte. "I was just passing by and thought I'd drop in to say hello. Plus, I've been hearing some interesting rumors about you and a certain someone. Care to fill me in?"
Katsuki's eyebrow raised in intrigue, realizing she was referring to Izuku. He took a moment to collect his thoughts before responding. He appreciated Kairi's directness and knew it was best to address the situation head-on.
"Well, Izuku and I have been reconnecting lately," Katsuki began, a hint of cautious optimism in his voice. "We've been talking, spending time together. It's... it's been good, actually."
Kairi leaned forward, her eyes filled with genuine curiosity. "That's great to hear. How are you feeling about it all?"
Katsuki sighed, a mix of emotions playing on his face. "Honestly, it's a bit overwhelming. We have a lot of history, a lot to work through. But we're taking it slow, trying to rebuild what we lost."
