One of my unmade concepts for a Power Rangers series, Power Rangers: Cybercorps was my planned concepts for an adaptation of 2012's Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters which was planned as a sequel to the critically-acclaimed Power Rangers: RPM, set 15 years after the (alleged) defeat of Venjix at the end of that series, society is rebuilt in the bustling metropolis of New Corinth powered by energy towers that convert energy from the Morphing grid itself into a new form of renewable energy source called "Grid energy" (duh) provided by the multi-billion dollar conglomerate known as EneCorp. but evil is lurking around deep beneath the sewers of New Corinth which is the location of the lair of a brother-sister duo of Hackers named Hack and Slash (who are meant to be the counterparts of Enter and Escape) the two being cyborgs like Dillon and Tenaya were, the two are cyber-terrorists who call themselves the "Hands of Venjix" seeking to steal the power of the grid energy to resurrect their master Venjix being able to hack into any machine to turn it into a maldroid to destroy the rangers. in response to this new threat, an organization known as Cybercorps was created to defend the energy towers (in exchange for a sponsorship by EneCorp) from the Hands of Venjix headed by Commander Jarvis and with ranger technology developed by Doctor Miles Lee (who becomes the gold ranger later on) and his student Kaya Grover, the daughter of Doctor K and Ziggy Grover. the three chosen rangers are: Bradley Jarvis (Blue ranger, the headstrong son of Commander Jarvis who resents his father for not choosing him to be red kinda like Sky from SPD), Kayla Manson (Yellow ranger, spoiled rich girl who's the daughter of Donald Manson the CEO of EneCorp who pushed for his daughter to become a ranger as part of the sponsorship deal with Cybercorps, even though she doesn't want to be a ranger. think Summer Landsdown crossed with Sydney Drew), and finally Adrian Chase (Red ranger, orphaned as a child as his parents were killed during the Venjix apocalypse, grew up in the Grover-K home for orphans. loves videogames and dreamed of becoming part of something more, dreams of becoming a game designer one day. his late father was an old friend of Commander Jarvis which is why he was chosen for the CyberCorps ranger program. he's also the youngest and most inexperienced of the three, which factors into his rivalry with the resentful blue ranger). the three are partnered with NaviBots (short for Navigator Robots referencing how they are used to control their zords inside their cockpits): Rev (robot cheetah, becomes motorcycle for red), Coco (robot gorilla, becomes go-kart for blue in US footage and would be voiced by Peter Cullen as a nod to transformers) Bugsy (robot rabbit, becomes jetpack for yellow in US footage) and Scarab (beetle robot and future silver ranger who is built by Miles Lee later on becoming the silver ranger, he refers to his creator as his "father" leading to the two having a surrogate father-son relationship, Scarab goes through an arc similar to Robo Knight where he is curious about the human world and wants to learn more about them culminating in him dying to protect his "father" in the finale at the hands of a resurrected Venjix). not only that, but we would have two original rangers introduced later on (which would require filming a f*ck-ton of new material but hey we did have the Titanium ranger and spirit rangers plus it sells two more action figures): Commander Jarvis would become the Black Lion ranger (who has a slick scarf and retractable claws in his gauntlets) piloting the lion zord and Kaya Grover would follow in her father's footsteps and become the Green Frog ranger piloting the frog zord from the Go-busters movie (which we would have adapted into an episode) thus adding a second female to the team along with a female green ranger before Power Rangers: Dino Fury did it several years later. here are the designs I made for them:

Why I cancelled it:

When my Idea for Cybercorps was being developed we were still in the Neo-Saban era where an Adaptation of Go-busters seemed no more than a pipe-dream, as I came up with it back when Dino Charge was airing (a season I liked, but could have been better). but then Hasbro bought the franchise in 2019 and the unthinkable happened and we got a real deal Go-busters adaptation with Power Rangers: Beast Morphers which in the mother of all coincidences used a lot of the same concepts I had for my adaptation (red being a gamer, blue being the commander's son, the robotic silver ranger dreaming of becoming human, the big bad being a resurrected Venjix, etc.) which rendered my story idea for Power Rangers: Cybercorps obsolete, hence why I decided to shelf this story idea.
